Pine and edible?

I was out for a walk in the woods today and stumbled upon these mushrooms, the first one I think is a pine mushroom, and the second one I have no idea...
I mainly am asking if anyone here knows some of the charecteristics of a pine mushroom (matsutaki) I know they like good draining soil, and supposedly they smell like pine, but my sense of smell is terrible.
The second one reminded me of an edible I had seen a picture of on here... not too sure though.
I live in the Pacific Northwest in a temperate rainforest.

The second mushroom is some species of Gomphus not a recommended edible. Matsuke has thick veil and smell like cinnamon, your mushroom has a cortinate veil.

I guess more experienced mushroomers would be able to tell the difference though, what does a veil on a pine look like? Anyone have any pictures?

This is a photo of some Matsutake (Tricholoma magnivelare) buttons I picked last Thursday.

The veil is membranous and resembles the same material as the cap surface. You should also note the gray mycelial strands at the base of the stem - those are also fairly characteristic of this species. Of course, the odor is the deciding feature.
Given the clear (and well photographed - well done!) cortina on your specimen, it's clearly from the genus Cortinarius. Given the strong odor you mention, it's probably related to Cortinarius percomis.
As Mr_M mentioned, the other looks close to Gomphus floccosus, which is known to often cause stomach upsets. It also is listed in my books as tasting bad anyway.
Happy mushrooming!
