Looks like some of those jars had some of the same bacterial problems that I must've missed. This might be a gamble but it doesn't look near as bad as the Metabolite City Casino. Not much for metabolites nor does it have alot of the single strand rhizos. Been in fruiting for about 4-5 days still never colonized that one patch. Whatcha think?

I know I tossed out like 12 quarts just spawned a few that looked clean. I'm sure now there was some bullshit lurking in there. Believe me I am not liking people like FH betting on my failure, just entertaining the crowd in the meantime. Finally working on securing some clean culture.

No apologies, no worries. I would have bet on that thing failing also. I was just hoping for a clone that I could get away from the bacteria with. Since im in my new house I can now take my time. Looking forward to working with new varieties thanks to some awesome hombres

I just took a clone of my bacteria ridden substrate. Had to make a transfer to get rid of the bacteria, but now the culture looks good.
FH, it's a clone of a clone
My other bacteria ridden substrate didn't fruit. So I just left it on the basement floor. No lid, no tape on the holes. Kept wondering why kept going downstairs last night. (He knows he's not supposed to be down there.) When I went down, and checked on him, I saw my tote. Full of cobweb & spored trich all over the substrate. Old saved the day again.

You gotta let me know how the clone of the clone behaves for you.
I've steered clear just on principle, I think of it as kind of the same thing as cloning a second flush fruit. I'm curious to see your results

I've got it marked appropriately, for once. So, I'll know in about 8 weeks. Just waiting for it to grow out to drop a few wedges on grains & 1 on some more agar.
