growing on dung, dont bruise blue?
    #1829885 - 08/19/03 03:34 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

I recently found thousands of mushrooms on this big vat of cow manure. I checked them for blueing and they did not blue. They also had a white or grey spore print. I didnt take a pic cuz all the actives ive seen are blue and have purple prints. They had the shape and dimensions of copelandia cyanescens. No chance of being active, eh?

Nope. Gotta have a purple/brown/black print and some blueing reaction.

No, but they have a black print. I didn't say it had to have both blueing and the right spore color. Besides, Pan subbs don't count as actives in my book, not the ones in the southeast USA anyways. They don't blue for a reason IMO

No offense, but actually you did...

"Gotta have a purple/brown/black print AND some blueing reaction"

and means both... or means either
