Hey, lay off him man.
He's tried nothing and he's all out of options.
How would you feel if you had such a rare and untreatable condition as headaches?

Start a thread about this in The Psychedelic Experience Forum.
You will get more positive replies. People expect strain talk when they see this thread get bumped.

Why not two or three threads? One for general strain discussion breeding and genetics, one for cubes, and one for other species. It would keep them from getting so long so fast.
Life is genetics x environment interaction. It's not fair to consign half of the equation to just one rambling thread.

I like your perspective Fred....but I was not here when Mush Cult was swamped to such an extent that this thread was necessitated.
I would support whatever discussions the community wants to have.

It's still swamped with the same old questions. I don't ever remember that strain discussion was really that much of a problem compared to any of the other constant topics, but it was an easy one to pick on.
The problem is that advanced is not very friendly to noobs or strain discussions either. All sorts of threads are constantly kicked here for random and arbitrary reasons, and the advanced mods don't like strain discussions there either.
Kind of shows how unfriendly advanced is when the first page has threads over a month old. And despite the low traffic even agar questions get kicked here if they don't have some sort of magical fanciness to them.
Personally, I think there really needs to be a place for middle-ground discussions. Somewhere in between the babysitting and handholding of noobs with the same old questions that goes on in cult and the snobbiness of advanced.
Considering the vast number of forums here, you'd think that at least 3 could be dedicated to the main topic.

I don't know, I look at most of what gets posted in advanced and I cringe that someone thought that was "advanced"

Heh.
We do need a new thread here soon though.
I will make it happen and re-post my strain list. It is time for an update.

Oh Canada
Yes , It really is a variety of Cube. The infamous Doh Canada ! When I first started in the hobby I bought several syringes of OC based on the claims it was a cold-weather-friendly cube that could be grown outside up north.
I finally got around to starting some and the mycelium seemed to take forever to colonize grain every time I attempted it. Finally I got some BRF colonized and I mixed that in a pressed sub-cake made of crushed tree leaves and horse manure.
Mixed the ingredients and then pressed that into a yogurt container to colonize. It was winter when this was happening and I actually fruited this first OC in temps about 50 to 55 F. This was not by choice but through bad timing of visiting guests.

First flush Oh Canada on leaf/horse manure pressed sub-cake

Second flush had big specimens also.

Fat caps with dark prints on all the flushes.
So despite the ribbing ole Captain Max took over the Oh Canada , it turns out that it really is a cold-temp fruiting cube , at least in my experience with it. Once it hit the manure/leaf mix it started colonizing fast. Also I was pretty new back then , so it may have been performing poorly at first through my own doing.
The stalk didn't really blue a lot compared to many cubes, some but not much. The high was quite decent though and 100 grams wet off each flush off a small sub-cake was not bad.
I never have actually tried to grow them outside , but might fire up a print one of these days and test it out. I had good results below 60F and I haven't seen that with to many other cubes.

Even though its not nearly as impressive as the others , this ultra-ghetto neglect straw bag of OC fruited in winter in an unheated room that was in the low to mid 40's F.
Some may find a good use for this "strain".
It tastes good fresh , sliced on crackers or mini-pizzas

Can someone post some picture relevant to the Burma strain? I'm curious to see what this strain typically offers.
(Don't give me "a cube is a cube" or the lecture on genetics. I'm just keeping this thread on topic.)
This is what I can tell so far, Heavy spore dropper (huge clumps in the syringe I've obtained) Thick healthy "hair like" rhizomorphic mycelium I'd call this a slightly resilient strain (newb friendly)
