 Apparently I'm a natural drummer : )

So I've become friend with a guy I met rehab and he's really good at music (not professionally) and all of his friends are also good. Like he can play any song on the guitar, piono, flute, name it by ear. His friend can also.
He has a set up in his basement, he's got a drumset, amps, and all that music stuff (I know nothing about music lol).
Drums are everybody's worst instrument so he told me to give a try. Today was the second time I ever played drums in my life and they are all super impressed (I was also, its really amazing). So we jammed a little, I made a did a few beats to keep them going, I varied things up a little but overall I could become really good if I practiced everyday. I'm better than all of them after two times playing, that's crazy cause they're all super musical.
Anyways, it kinda feels good to finally find something that comes easily and naturally to me.
I love drums!!!

Man a guy let you play his kit that is rare . Drummers are strange people.

Drumming takes a lot of mental discipline. The ability to stay on rhythm while still tapping your feet and moving your hands at different times.
I found it challenging. But that was also when I smoked week. I should get an electric kit (noise friendly) and start again.

Happy to hear someone found a hobby they can enjoy and actually excel in.
I remember trying to mess around on a friend's drum set in my teens and I felt like a uncoordinated man baby when I swung the sticks.

I dunno what it takes, but for some reason, I'm almost what some people would think as maybe being a tad bit talented in the difficult art of making a drum sound somewhat tolerable to the human ear.

Hey no offence intended as a bassist I just know the guys I have played with were real funny bout their kits lol best I can do is No Sleep Till Brooklin. And For Whom The Bell Tolls.

It's all good man. I don't really identify as a drummer anyways, it's just something I tried for a year but never really improved. When I own a kit again and start practicing, then I may begin to identify again.

Crap the one guy I played with had an awesome talent you could toss him a Didgeridoo and and the goofy SOB could play it. His lil bro burned his kit though . but with double bass I Have Seen none faster.
