Tuff time distinguishing brown from black!

The season for cincs is here. And as always my backyard proves to be a really good panaeolus hosting agent. I picked mushrooms that looked like 100% paneolina but they gave jet black prints. I'm really confused as some specimens don't print at all. Below is a collection of prints that I would like sorted out. Despite low quality the pics seem to illustrate the color as I see it IRL.

I also have a hard time deciding on spore color. I feel like I might be getting better from repeated exposure.
That being said (in other words, question everything I say) only your print #2 appears to be black.
I can see a hint of brown in all of the other prints.

Bump. These are the mushrooms they came from:
Don't they look a bit off to be cincs?

They could also be a number of other small brown and mildly [don't start an argument Gravi ] active Panaeolus species, or one of the inactive ones. At least there are no harmfull Pans. Unless you want to send off a sample for scientific examination I'd recommend:
- Get loads
- Lemon Tek tea
- find out
-

Nope, they're non-toxic... Also, draw a line with a black sharpie next to them and compare... Sometimes this will help your eye catch the brown if there is any...

Thing is, they sometimes leave light prints that are very difficult to tell if black. Other times the brown spored mushrooms leave really heavy prints that could be misidentified as black..

Leave them printing longer
I can usually tell if it's black or not, even when light, when they are on white paper with something jet black beside it as reference... It might just come with experience..
