Depleted substrate
    #18265826 - 05/14/13 09:09 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

I have had 3 flushes from a small batch of grain and oat straw of which the nutrients are depleted.  Is it possible to tear up what I have and mix it with new substrate materials, or should I just use new grain to mix with new substrate?

Why not to reuse? Mycelium can cut into pieces and mixed with fresh nutrients. Even if there was contaminant organisms mycelium would take over very fast nutrients. Or sterilized flour can injected inside mycelium.
