Humidity Monitor?
    #1825695 - 08/18/03 12:43 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Is there any relativly cheap device that I can order from the internet which measures RH well enough to use for my terrarium?

My terrarium is a coleman's ice cooler, so I would probably have to drill a hole out to place it in or something. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to read the monitor from the outside. Also, these things don't need to be plugged in, do they?

Cheap hygrometers are usually inaccurate pieces of shit. You can buy a digital for around $25-$30 that will work well enough.

That price range is just fine. Would you be able to link me to something like that? Would I be able to install it with the setup I described? Are they battery powered?

The model I have is an Acu-rite digital combination thermometer/hygrometer. It cost me $23.95 at Wal-Mart.

Sorry I do not have a link.
