Using Perlite and not Vermiculite
    #1824269 - 08/17/03 11:15 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Instead of "2/3 cup vermiculite, 1/4 cup brown rice flour & 1/4 cup of water" can I use "2/3 cup Perlite, 1/4 cup brown rice flour & 1/4 cup of water"?

The perilite will not absorb moisture like vermiculite and another point being is that the white perilite makes it hard to see mycelium growing.
