So do you rent these and they bring them to your house? Or do you have a membership to go somewhere? What's the deal? How do you have 4 months? I'm interested in this... I wonder how this would play with dissociatives :strokebeard:

Well, sine this post has been made I am now a full time employee, so I can float whenever.  In fact it is pretty nice to crawl in after a long shift.

I did my second float a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't feeling well and didn't get as much out of it as my first session. I actually think I fell asleep in there for a bit,. My friends gave me the session for my birthday though so that was nice. Once I'm feeling better I'll go again, it's a really cool thing. Super strange. It must be a damn interesting place to work.

ESPECIALLY in the middle of the night on Hawthorne in portland.

Check it out:  80% of people who think they "slept" actually do not. There mind slows down to a theta wave which is about actual sleep.

There is no time, there is no space, but there is still some raw awareness, if a loud noise were to happen you would "wake up" much quicker than if you were really sleep.

On the other hand, if you do it late at night, or do it for more than 2 hours there is a better chance of actually sleeping.

1 dude did it for 24 hours straight, I am sure he slept some of it :vaped:

24 hours? Damn. Guys got some cash to throw around. I thought extended periods of time in a deprivation chamber was supposed to start causing massive amounts of anxiety and other psychological effects?

"I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."
