first time shrooming
    #1821881 - 08/17/03 04:10 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Hi all I am a new would-be shroomer however im not new to hallucinogens having experience with LSD.However the LSD trips i can obtain are very mild with only around 20ug and very light hallucinations. I live in Adelaide(australia)and I am going to go to the Adelaide Hills this weekend in hopes of finding any of these species:

Psilocybe subaeruginosa
Copelandia cyanescens
Gymnopilus Junonius
Gymnopilus spectabilis
Gymnopilus purpuratus

According to mushroom Johns book on Australian mushrooms these are the only hallucinogenic ones to be found in South Australia (not counting agarics). I done a fair amount of research from various resources and the only info i could come up with is:

Gymnopilus Junonius - found in Adelaide hills under eucalypts.

If anyone has some info that could help my search for a spiritual enlightenment please post pictures, info on posotive ID i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks all

in adelaide.... mm you're best bet is psilocybe subaeruginosa. look in wood chipped areas or eucalypt or pine mulch (best results seem to be from woodchips)

you won't be finding cope cyans or cubes, not at this time of the year, and perhaps not at all in adelaide.

i'm not sure on gym's, not alot of people look for these in australia, plus they're more of a pain to ID.

please post pics of what you find here and get a positive ID before consuming anything. some mushrooms can kill you.
