Tripping Tonight - Looking for Tips! (obviously) :)

Hey all,
I am tripping tonight with probably 3 other people.
Me = experienced friend #1 = experienced friend #2 = second time friend #3 = totally new
The setting is friend #2's house. We have the whole house, I plan on catching the sunset during the peak or close to it. I also was thinking of renting the Animatrix, getting a lot of candles, lots of music, going for a walk, etc.
We are getting a half (14g dried) and I think I am going to do around 4g (at least 3g). I think friend #1 will take about 3g, friend #2 maybe 2g or 3g, and Im not sure what to give my brand new friend. I think at least 2.5 because otherwise it's a waste. I want him to really enjoy his first trip.
Anyone got any nifty ideas I could try? The house has a PS2, big screen tv, computer with internet, several beds, patio, it's pretty nice.
Any ideas are appreciated - basically I'm getting excited and I love talking about this stuff! (Thank you for the best forum ever!)
E.

>I think at least 2.5 because otherwise it's a waste. I want him to really enjoy his first trip. Does he smoke pot? drink? If this is his first drug experience, or he's relativly new... 2.5 grams might be too much. I think 1 or 2 grams would be fine for a first "trip" if your really new. You should always take less when there are more people around.

Hey thanks for stopping by.
We smoke together all the time and he is a typical teenage-drinker.

The newbie should be fine at 2.5 grams... Just be careful... since there isn't going to be a trip sitter around, if someone slips into a bad trip, or if there is an ever present bad vibe (like someone desides to come over, or there is a cop car parked outside your house for some reason) you might have a hard time coping... and bad trips can rub off on bad others that are tripping pretty easy.
Person #1: I just realized, I'm going to die some day and I'm not afraid. Person #2: Yeah, we are all going to die. Person #3: [stands up] WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE! Persons #1 and #2: Oh shit! Person #4: What just happened?
Well you get the idea...

Don't forget the Shpongle! heh have fun man - be sure to come back here with a report and "Friend #3's" reaction.
-------------------- Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me. In addition: SHPONGLE

Well, if there may be a problem coping in this situation, how would 4 inexperienced people cope on their own, like I was hoping to do soon? I don't know anyone with experience that could sit, in fact I don't know anyone with experience at all. 4 sounded like the best number for this kind of thing from what I've read, because there are several other people there to bring you (relatively) down to earth, and even if the group splits, everyone's still got a partner to turn to. Does this sound like a good approach?
Theoretically I should probably take a lower dose since I've been reading this site and others literally all night (about 10 hours total), and I think I now know a bit about what to look out for, what to do and what not to do, etc., but on the other hand, I'm the one who really wants to do it, so I don't want to not get the full effect (comparatively speaking, that is, I'm certainly not going for level 5 or even 4 for that matter). I'm planning on getting Philosopher's Stone truffles, AKA Psilocybe mexicana, if it's relevant at all.
Finally, I might as well ask this while I'm posting... when you're only dosing at level 2 or 3, is there EVER any reason to call an ambulance, no matter how much you think you're going to die? For instance, can you hallucinate pain, and honestly believe you've caused great physical harm to yourself when you actually haven't? Is it possible to tell the difference between imagined pain (if such a thing exists) and actual pain?

I have never experienced imaginary pain, but certain discomforts can be amplified. Such as feeling very hot and sweaty, if you start focusing on it you can get really frustrated and it can go down hill from there.
I have never encountered someone believing they have caused actual harm to themselves, but on one occasion I was convinced I had broken my teeth (LOL sorry its the only thing i can compare it to) they just didn't feel "right". You may think certain parts of you look different or distorted or just dont feel like they should but it's all in your head.
I can't imagine why you would need to call an ambulance, no matter how much you think it at the time you're not going to die. From what I can tell people can suddenly sober up, if it is a neccesity (such as your friends fallen down the stairs and isn't moving, the house is on fire etc etc)
In the unlikely event that you have injured yourself, you'll be able to tell, you're still very aware of your body in a vague sense. Such as needing to take a leak and so on. On lower level trips you're not going to be out of it so much that you slit your wrists and dont even notice and on higher doses your usually too immobile to find a way to do yourself harm.
The main problem I have seen is people getting worried about stomach discomfort, at least 4 of my friends have been seriosuly concerned that they had eaten the wrong mushrooms and were going to die simply because they had an upset tummy lol.
Just chill sit back and enjoy the ride, and keep plenty of things near to keep you entertained. Because if you do start worrying it usually passes when you discover how amazing walking round in a circle is
