I guess I accidentally deleted the first stage pics of my Nicotiana rusticas and the Datura metels, so here's a pic of how they have come along after about a month. I'll grab some pics of the Daturas here shortly. For now, here are the MAPACHOS!

I make smoking blends with it occasionally. Haven't ever eaten/drank it though... too scared. Well i've eaten like 5-10 seeds before bed for dreaming but that doesn't count.

Yeah mine were fresh right out of a pod from last autumn. They sprouted real quick just as easily as tomatoes or peppers. I'd say yours are bunk.

You must be trying to grow it for some reason. It is not really very attractive. It grows all over down here. I pull it out of my vegetable beds all the time because it is a weed.

Um. Wow. Look up Datura metel. The flowers will blow your mind. Its definitely one of the most beautiful plants I've ever seen. Now Datura stramonium or Datura inoxia must be an annoyance if they grow everywhere in your area, but they too have pretty white flowers. However, nothing compares to the multiple-layered purple metel flowers...

Y'all are a bunch of modern day witches. Throw some Amanita muscaria in there and you will be flying on broomsticks.

An update on the Datura metel...
When they start to droop like this its time to water. The metels really like to dry out between waterings. I don't know if this holds true for other species of Daturas, but I was given specific advice for this plant to only water after it droops, preferably in the evening. I am going to repot these in a few days. I see some tight buds starting to form... Hoping for some blooms soon!

Interesting. My Datura seeds sprouted very easily just by putting them in a seed soil. I followed all kinds of instructions with my henbane seeds (refrigerating, etc.) and after a few weeks nothing has happened. I'm still watering them and hoping for the best, but have ordered some live plants just to be sure.

These babies are coming along nicely. Getting big! Almost time to harvest a few of these leaves as they start to yellow.
In about another week the Datura will be showing their first blooms. I'm very excited. Stay tuned!

How many ciggs can you roll from that? After it's been dried of course.

Idk hard to tell, I'd say maybe like 6 or 8 solid cigs (I use 1.25 papers, no filter), but its so damn potent... Better to mix it with another tobacco for cigarette smoking.

These flowers are so spacey... Completely out of this world. They're mind bottling!
Here is some of the Mapacho air-curing. Notice the grades of color as it cures. Looking for a nice even golden brown color.
