karo water/cloning
    #1818771 - 08/16/03 02:15 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

Say someone was doing a bulk grow and he had some mushrooms that were humungous and he wanted to close these without the use of agar, is it possible to take a few jars of karo water ad some H202 to the solution. then drop a peice of these huge mushrooms into the karo water to clone the mushrooms? Would these be genteic replicas of the huge mushrooms and thusly take on those traits? If so thats way easier then agar, and alot quicker too as you can just innoc with the mycellium in the water after it grows in the jar.

Comments please

yes .

>Would these be genteic replicas of the huge mushrooms

yes .

>and thusly take on those traits?

that would depend on environmental parameters .
you would get an even pin set, and likely many pins, all depending the same substrate for food .

edit;
i don't think this would necessarally result in large fruit .
about the only thing you could depend on, is if you clone the first fruit, you have isolated the most aggerssive mycelium .
