Just got back from a backpacking trip along the appalachian trial. Seeing as it's been raining every day all sorts of mushrooms have poped up. check them out.
These are the type that when touched give off a green poof of spores
i've reached my upload limit I will post more tomorrow

Excellent finds - nice photos, too!
The first ones are puffballs. We need to see the bottom of them to figure out which genus.
Those purple guys look an awful lot like Mycena pura. But we'd need to see the underside and get a spore print to be more sure.
RebelSteve, you haven't seen the third ones before, at least in photos? Those are Gomphus floccosus, a poisonous close relative of the chanterelles. They make great photos, though.
The fourth ones are from the Amanita caesarea group of mushrooms.
That's an excellent purple coral.
...and I'd love to see those last ones close up.

found that first one in the last group of pics a few days ago here in MA, havent been able to figure out what it is, maybe someone will be able to tell from your pic. Nice pics, seen a couple of them around here too.

Back where we live a couple of years ago, we had the third one lyin' in some woods on our terrain...we thought it was an old football at first I believe it's actually edible, though I would make sure first, I'm not sure about this particular species.

It actually looks like Langermannia Gigantea (that big white ball), which is adible, but I'm not sure.
