 No visuals?!?!?!

Hey guys, I had my first real shroom experience a few days ago. I was camping and I munched on a half quarter (8th), chewed it for a good 10 mins then swallowed, only had a little bit of food that day like 3 hours earlier.
I got some nauseau (thats when I knew it kicked in) and I felt pretty good. I tripped fairly well, mentally, thoughts flying a thousdand per second, and laughed a lot. However, I didnt get any visuals. Whats up with that? do you need to eat more to have visuals? did I have a crappy trip? I wanted to see a lot of stuff

For me visuals are something I have to let happen, unless I eat a large dose. If I look for visuals, they go away. When I relax and forget about them, stuff starts to dance all over the place.

How can you ask if you had a crappy trip if you enjoyed it?  You had a nice trip! Maybe you should eat more, but sometimes it's not the visuals that makes a trip. Keep shroomin!

They could have been shitty shrooms. But if you get "the feeling" you are tripping. You seemed to have described the feeling. IME, if you want to see a lot of shit you need to take at least 4-4.5 grams and be in the dark. Take an 8th again and see if yah see things. I have on 8ths but not things that far from reality... just kinda like a pulsing glow over everything and distortions. Maybe some patterns. Try again, but remember it's not just about seeing things... but it's really crazy when you can't see... real...things.

It was a good trip, yeah, but I was expecting to see some crazy things... I've had a friend tell me that visuals like seeing inanimate objects talk or move is just BS
so is shrooming more about what you FEEL than what you SEE??

Here are the visuals that I usually get, in order of appearance:
1) breathing... if I look at a stationary object, it will appear to be slowly breathing... it will slowly swell just a bit, and then deflate just a bit... If I really focus on the object, it will stop... I have to be relaxed and kind of seeing it out of the corner of my eye (even though I am looking at it)... hard to explain.
2) tracers... if I relax my eyes and something flows through my field of vision, I will see traces of the object following in the same path as the object itself.
3) pixelation... another one that is hard to describe... things start to look like they are made of up lots of small parts instead of being continuous. Kind of like if you look at a TV picture from a few inches away.
4) jitters... objects that have a lot of contrast with their surroundings will start to jitter or dance. This is almost like an extreme version of breathing, where things seem to move or squirm about a bit. Very noticable when you look at textured surfaces, such as shag carpet, rock gardens, etc...
All of these usually have a color shift associated with them, where reds seem to stand out while blues tend to disappear. These are also all open eye visuals (OEVs) as opposed to closed eye visuals (CEVs).

3.5 grams is just an average dose, probly because it's standard for sale. People react differently to mushrooms though. Some people may need more, some people may need less. But one important thing you will realize when you do find your right dose is that visuals arent the most important part of the trip. But like I said, people react differently to mushrooms.

I've taken 3 grams and had uncontrolable visuals. The world would become made of eyes, the trees would flow around in circles on the hillside like a twisting river. When I looked at my car, each panel was breathing in and out about 3 feet, and focusing on it did nothing to stop it. When I looked at the stove, little colorful squares lifted out of the rusty surface and formed a little robot man. Faces were everywhere, in everything. After I pissed, I looked up and the whole forest became a kalaidoscope. I was momentarily lost in this visual, as I had no reference point as to where the hell I was, since everything in my field of vision was turning in on itsself. This was from really good cubensis.

it shouldnt really matter that much. the best part of a trip is feeling good with all kinds of thoughts and dreams. sure visuals are great, but the feeling of knowing that their is a whole world out there and you can do anything, while you just sit and think is the best part

you just have to stop what your doing and stare at one thing you'll start seeing the breathing affect and you might get some visuals,when im moving when i trip im still tripping but not as many visuals.

they usually happen when you least expect them. An eighth should be more than enough (assuming they are indeed cubensis) to induce even mild visual hallucinations.

My trips are always very different, i have probably tripped 6-7 times. Some of the times, i would eat a 1/8th and no visuals at all, just racing thoughts and uncontrollable laughter (which is what i love about shrooms). Then sometimes, i have taken a half eighth and seen faces in the clouds, swirling around and shit. I think it depends on the mushrooms and most of all, the person. The most ive ever eaten is a 1/8th, so when i start getting good at this cultivation thing, i can't wait to trip like 4-5 grams or something like that.

The first time I tripped I took an 1/8th and didnt get any visuals either, but I was too distracted by my racing thoughts to care much about seeing stuff. Although my poor vision did seem to be 20/20 nothing much else happened with seeing things. Shrooms seem to be less visual and more of a mind trip(for me at least) than most people expect. I remember my friends saying how they didn't get any visuals like they were expecting after their first trips.

I got a lot of visuals on my first trip with a half eighth, thought the world was made of moving swirling clay! Those were some damn good shrooms...
