i made the mistake of trying to loosen jar lids too early in the colonization process and my jars are stalled at like 65%
with your situation, i say loosen the lids and get some of that CO2 out of the jars, and they should colonize pretty quickly

What I do is change the lids for a coffee filter and didn?t have any contamination yet. Of course, I keep everything very clean all the time. When I change the cover, I clean and spray everything like crazy (even me).

Just take the tape off the holes and flip the jars up-side-down. Then be patient...

I never take the lids of or the tape off the inoculation holes. I found that if you don't pack the substrate too heavily, there's enough air in the substrate for the mycelium to colonize fully. However, if you notice that mycelium growth stalls, you can consider loosening the lids to allow for some air exchange. If growth doesn't stall, why change anything?

I never tape the holes. A little air exchange is very important.

I never tape the holes on PF jars either. Just put foil over them. It seems to prevent contams, and let them get enough air. Polyfill for grains.

I like to let them start for a week to a week and a half the remove the tape over the holes and put on a coffee filter for safety. Then put the jars back in upside down. Now a little secret, put a towel or cardboard layer between the layers of jars. Doesn?t make sence to take the tape off only to have the bottom jar plug the holes of the top jar.
Jars shouldn?t take longer then 21 days with any strain of cube.

Once the mycelial culture is established it is actually reasonably resilient to contaminants and such. What I do with my jars is I just take the lids off and give them a fanning every week or so when they are around 70-80% colonized. This gives them enough fresh air to last until they are completely colonized and can substantially decrease the time taken to do so.
