Two days of reading and IM DONE!!
In general and to "everyone", if you didn't follow the tek verbatim then you didn't do the tek. Thats for any and all teks. If your first run or two didn't hit the writers mark so what. Should I expect FH's results the first time or two I do it? Should I expect a Large Dose yeild immediately? . . . . . No. I'm doing a trash can mini mono, will I get the OP's results . . . . no.
Do you have to use rye grass seed specifically . . . No, just untreated grass seed.
Does this tek grind against what's currently accepted? Kinda. Its along the lines of what Anne h said. Its the McKenna brother system with twists. If I were to make a comparison with just reading this is a very efficient assembly line rather than a large scale industrial operation. Using just in time inventory control, high quality inputs, small batch brewing. If you could run 6 containers in a PC at a time and worked 5 days a week you would introduce roughly 120 containers a month into the rotation doing 1 PC run a day. This kinda reminds me of SOG with growing MJ.
The devil is in the details. Over a year what is saved vs increased cost of grass seed? Or use finch seed mix. Its a blend of small seeds. Even if PC time was reduced by 15 minutes and you only do 1 run a month you saved 3 hours running your stove on sterilization alone.
This tek isn't for everyone but its for someone. The only thing in here that hasn't been proved on these very forums is the use of ferts. I don't know the exact pathways but there is some biological process that will convert them to usable forms. Bacterial conversion seems logical.
For such a fringe community that demands data these forums will completely disregard things without ever experimenting themselves. If you really dive into the depths and older threads most practices accepted today were blown off and ridiculed not all that long ago. Just a matter of years. Just because you dont have proof of something doesnt mean it isnt. While experience matters it isnt fact. There is no proof for or against the use of fert except you can't water with them like you would a plant. Damn near any ingredient/input needs some type of treatment before we use it to grow.
Anyway I'll def try this tek!

Thanks for that Smeagol.
An update post here since 3 weeks of inactivity!
The "fert-ferment" tag added at the end of the tek has been omitted. I and many others are thrilled to find that a particular proper use of a tiny amount of this inexpensive material, when combined with the culturing that's always necessary for max or at least consistent potency, can offer a clear greater margin of strength. However, as it is currently socially impossible to quantify the matter in a way sufficient to quell the concerns of many others, I have removed it from this main tek posts. That particular topic has unfortunately drawn flak to this thread for the entire tek, and I would rather remove that small end section and keep things cool!
The place to discuss that now is my journal. This same tek posted there retains the tag so it's still on topic at that one! Also there will soon be a thread in my journal for details of ferts and use that will also serve for experimental collaboration regarding it, such as testing the potency effects and those of yield if any. This post will contain a link to that once it exists.
I'm starting to work on some new threads! The core and many peripheral details of this style straight-grain grow are in this tek. However I'm working on a series of threads which details these categorically along with several others.
In particular is a thread on culturing! This most-important aspect of myco fun effects the grow more than anything else. I have a rather different way of going about it than I've seen elsewhere, and since I prefer it greatly to the other ways I've done I figure it could use being shared as well!
The list of threads-to-come includes: Grass seed & brown rice prep, + prep for all grains, without & with fert-ferment process Container inoculationss, colonization & consolidation time; Fruiting from containers & bottom-watering
Culturing: Grainwater agar, No-pour agar containers, etc. "Grain petris" & sterile clones Invitro containers & sterile spores
K thanks!

Thanks for all the useful information Violet, im finding this to be a very smooth system if understood and researched correctly.
Okay, after careful consideration I will be using this method for my current endevour.
Again, thanks.

They're up now!
Grain preparation tek, featuring Brown Rice & Grass Seed
And the bigger deal, which I am very excited to share: CULTURE TEK (all 4 links are same thread) Grainwater agar & no-pour Agar container dishes 'Grain Petri' Tek Invitro growing Sterile spore prints
The culture thread shows how I find & test different genetics, in a fashion that's easy and effective for All grow techniques and unlocks the higher potential of this 'Violet tek'!
In several days I'll be posting an 'in-brief' version of the simple tek itself, containing only the procedures involved in colonizing, fruiting, & bottom-watering straight grains as such, as well as an additional section on "biological efficiency." Be on the lookout!

So I decided to try this out with some RGS and some WBS. Please put a disclaimer that WBS should be the corn free kind. My entire house smells like Burnt Popcorn.
BTW if you want to make popcorn, WBS works well.
LOL God Damnit!
Oh well, I still have the RGS that I am going to sample with some isolates to see how they do. I realized that this technique might be more suitable for testing isolates because the prep time is 1/4 of normal grain prep.
I am liking it so far V, hopefully it all works well. Planning on birthing my 5pp plastics in my SGFC, do you think they will work well in that setting?

Hi Sock!
I've decided after long thinking that I aswell will be fruiting one of each " strain. " I have inoculated two of each strain and all pp5 containers show amazing growth four days after inoculation with zero contams and I hope it continues this way. I have not shaken either.
I inoculated in a lazy mans SAB. Large Tote - Two Holes Cut out - Tyvek sleeves taken from the Tyvek Drywall/Painters vest from Home Depot that I used for my WBS lids.
Everything seems golden.

No I don't think they'll do well. Moisture loss may not be as problematic as it otherwise would with the entire substrate exposed, due to the controlled air exchange and saturated humidity of the SGFC, but you won't have much way to bottom-water them. My guess is that the first flush will be reduced and the following flushes will be minimal if they even happen at-all. Who knows though, anything not certainly destined for failure is worth a good try...!

If im getting a lot of pins to come up but their growth seems sluggish and they arn't growing very big... would it be safe to assume that my FAE needs some adjustment? Or am I being an impatient fuck and expecting more 2 fast? Just feels like on past grows they came up and got real big real fast... Whats more confusing is that the one side pin that managed to pop up is much bigger and growing much faster then the guys on the surface... Thoughts on this pwease!

And here's a bigger guy that decided to grow off the walls myc network from a jar of rye berries I used to G2G some other spawn for a past project that I left sitting for a while and noticed growing when I put these above containers together. I threw some casing over the well munched on grains and I've got quite a few mushrooms coming up off it. Shweeet...

Figured Id throw some pics up to show a bit of the progress being made. Will definitely repost later once I've got more to offer visually
