Peyote Seedlings
    #1812885 - 08/14/03 11:00 AM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Approximately 85% of the seeds have germinated, but I have a question. Most of the seedlings are a nice bright green, but others are a drab olive color. Does anybody know what is wrong? Is their anything I can do about it?

It sounds like the olive colour ones are receiving too much light.

Just get them into a place where they receive less light and they will recover.
You have to harden them off light-wise very slowly. Its a gradual process that takes a few weeks. As soon as you see them going drab then back off with the light as you are going too fast for them.

Good luck with them.

I'm not using sunlight, it's a gro-lite bulb. Anyway, I temporarily moved them out from under the light and in a north facing window. Would that be good?

i normally put them near a window that receives full light and drop the blinds down and use that wand thing to tilt them so the slats open up a little and let some light in.

I'll make a new thread and show some babies.
