The fastest way to find what you are after is to learn about mushrooms in general. Learn what makes them grow, what makes them poisonous, what makes them 'active', ect. Blindly running through cow pastures hoping to stumble across some 'cubes' or hoping every mushroom you find is 'active' is just setting yourself up for disappointment, arrest or poisoning.
Truth is that a very small percentage of fungus is active and a very small percentage of fungus is deadly but you will want to know exactly how to identify both types confidently before putting a single one in your mouth. Mistaking a gallerina marginata for gymnopilus luteus just once may be the last mistake you ever make. Learn a lot, be safe and have fun.

Guess no one took you up on your offer to pay them to take you shroom hunting. The mushrooms you are looking for ONLY grow on cow and horse dung in Florida, and it is still very early in the season for those. Look up the user Joust and follow his guide so you stop picking random mushrooms and praying they are magic. It's also rude to hold it over our heads that you will eat unidentified mushrooms, even if you are joking. How do we know you are joking? You may just be a douche (not that I think you are).

If I am right and I'm as sure as possible without a spore print, or of course seeing them in person, microscopy, etc... they are poisonous.

C. apala, huh? I like albipes, it sounds like two words forced together and trying to escape from the unholy union they share. At least how I say it. Thanks for the info, tho.

It does, although Byrain would really know, im not good at the smaller mushrooms in Conocybe, Coprinoids, and Psathyrella.
