There is also a book called Travelling the Interstate of Consciousness: A driver's instruction manual.. which is filled with all sorts of good stuff on achieving this.
It also lists cheap motels to stay at and cool diners such as Peggy Sue's...

I'm with MindTrap on this one - don't try too hard, man

I'm starting to get that little by little. You know one thing I never thought would come out of attempting this astral projection business is my new ability to see how truly weird my own mind can be. The thoughts that ramble on and on and on affect every moment of my awake state of my mind. I still find it hard to 'let go' but not as hard as it was at the beginining of this powerful decision to AP. I've noticed certain things occuring in the physical that are clearly the result of an overworked mind. The more I try and control the more tension I feel. It's funny. Each an every attempt I always learn something new about myself no matter how remote. It's gone to a point where I feel disaccoicated without even trying at times while always still aware if that makes sense. I know it will happen for me sooner or later, just dont know when. I have this funny feeling in my head that once it does happen I will think, 'now that wasn't so hard....'
thanks guys for listening to my mental throwup

YellowSub, there is a website all about AP and you should check out their message board. There are lots of other ppl who are trying to AP too, almost like a support group for those seeking their first-time.

I tried again last night, and it was really weird.. I never got out, but I never stopped trying, never opened my eyes or stopped it.. my body lost almost all of its feeling, like when your arms fall asleep.. but I never could get any farther... I concentrated on my breathing, and for awhile I'd start getting the feelings...
I think what happened is that my thoughts started kicking in everytime the feelings started waving around again.. like it wanted to go, but then I'd "notice" it happening in my thoughts, and cut it off...
My problem isn't falling asleep, but rather, too much focus, I think. It just depends on what is going on, though, some nights are better than others... just keep trying, I guess. Peace.
