Both of these species were found last fall in northwestern Ontario in a black spruce bog habitat Any help you can give me would be appreciated!!
Habitat: I found this mushroom growing out of moss in a Black spruce bog, with alder also present
Gills: Greyish and decurrent
Stem: Brown with a lighter shade at apex and equal
Cap: Brown, with a central depression and darker fibrils
Spore print color: Possibly whitish, I think I can see white spores on the stem ?
Bruising: I did not check

Mushroom 2 Habitat: I also found this specimen growing out of some moss in a black spruce bog, alder was also present.
Gills: White gills attached to stem
Stem: Greyish, long and slowly enlarging towards base, streaked vertically
Cap: Brown, lighter towards the disc and campanulate or bell shaped
Spore print color: Not sure but probably a lighter color
Bruising: I did not check

Thanks for the ID's Alan, much appreciated. I love walking through that habitat on a hot summer day, good way to beat the heat and I will always find fungi even if it does not rain for weeks. Thanks for the comments guys!!

Glad you enjoyed them guys! Thanks Gravija, I don't think you will be disappointed, I have found many beautiful Suillus species in Tamarack bogs around here.
Here is some more mind boggling bog fungi for your viewing pleasure, any help with identification would be helpful because I only have guesses. 1 2 3 4a 4b 5 6a 6b 6c 7 8 9arrhenia?

Once again, great pictures! What are you taking them with?
5) Spore color? 6a-b) Mycena 6c)Looks like a Gymnopus species. 7)Looks like a Galerina. Conocybe is possible too. 8) is cool as hell. Wish you had a gill shot. Maybe Cortinarius? 9) Compare Gerronema strombodes. It's prolly another omphalinoid mushroom though.

that Garleina looks quite simliar to a Conocybe! i would have loved to see the base of this mushroom, could you imagine if he found a bog thriving C smithii ! although there is definetly a Galerina species that looks very very similar. next time pick it and squeeze the base of it and look for blue bruising.
