 I have these materials, how shall I proceed?

I am sorry for posting this, and I really have read a lot of information on this website, but I cannot decide what to do.
These are the materials I have:
Vermiculite
Perlite
Gypsum
Peat Moss
Coleman Icebox (drainable)
6 shoulderless, microwavable jars
spray bottles
sterile gloves
kimwhipes
The problem is that I read a lot of different teks and guides, and went to the store without a concrete plan. I bought whatever I could remember to buy. I was unable to locate coco coir anywhere. Same thing for oyster shells.
I plan to use the icebox as a terrarium. I like it because it has a little hole (pluggable) to drain excess water. I plan to use perlite to maintain high humidity, and I'd like to start off with casing. As long as I know what to do I am somewhat confident that I won't mess up too badly because I work in a genetics lab and have some experience with mycology. This is, however, my first time growing shrooms.
I don't have any substrate, but I am sure I can get brown rice flour. Unfortuantly I do not have a pressure cooker, but if the advantages to using one are enormous, then I can buy a very cheap one.
Now... What do I do? Shall I use brown rice flour and vermiculite like in the PF tek? Should I use the 50/50 casing tek even though I do not have limestone nor oyster shells?
I am also sort of confused about airing out the terrarium. If it is so important to keep everything contamination free, shouldn't more work be put into ensuring that the air is clean? Wouldn't airing out the terrarium cause a huge humidity drop?
Sorry if I rambled, but I have so many questions on my mind and no experienced grower to help me along.

If possible I would like to avoid buying more materials if I could get away with just using the perlite.

go basic if it's your first time. it's really that simple. dont think u can master the science of cultivating mushrooms in your first run. It's the little things that you can only know once you do it that can ruin your whole thing....
in addition to what you have, of which you wont even be using some of that shit, get these items:
(1) 10lb.+ bag of White Millet Birdseed - any birdseed works but white millet is the best.
(5+) Tin-Foil lasanga containers (the small disposable ones, get a few different sizes).

1. soak your seed in a bowl of water for 18 hours.
2. after 18 hours, drain seed and rinse with water VERY well.
3. let the drained seed sit in the strainer for 30 minutes (no more than 30 min).
4. after 30 minutes of draining, load seed into jars.
5. pressure cook @ 15 psi. for 90 minutes.
6. let pressure drop when done, open cooker and shake jars while still hot.
7. let jars cool in pressure cooker overnight, when cool inoculate and place in incubator at 80-85 degrees F.
When jars are fully colonized you can either birth them into a terranium with 95-100% relative humidity or you can case them and place in another fruiting chamber at 80% relative humidity.

I was planning to manually fan. What sort of automatic fanning system can I use with an icebox?

I can surely drill some holes. How would I go about the automation though?
Also can I use the 50/50 casing tek even though I do not have limestone or oyster shells?

KuSsh i know its a 2 to 1 ratio u say to use twice as much BRF as i did.. will it still colonize fine?

i used 420 Ml Verm and 120Ml BRF for 3 half pint jars.. that is what annos tek says to use did i do something wrong?

=> 140 ml vermiculite
=> 40 ml brown rice flour
140 x 3 = 420
40 x 3 = 120
So will these jars work or not?

Check the FAQ. I do belive its coirand verm with a bit o lime mixed in to keep it a good ph.

dude someone told me to do this 50/50 for jars.. i know theres it for casing.. in not talking about casing never was becuase im not that far yet.. iv been talking about jars like i said before i used 420 Ml Verm and 120 Ml BRF for 3 half pint jars. and you said its crappy and wont turn out good at all

To be honest Rohypnol, I think this thread goes to show that there are a huge number of different teks that do things in different ways... I would reccommend finding a simple tek and sticking to it like glue. Since you have a scientific background, you'll pick it up in no time, and then you can start making improvements.
My first tek was the MMGG , but you could use one of the excellent one's in the FAQ. If you try to combine different teks on your first attempt, you'll get all muddled and all.

Er, this thread has kinda derailed. Anyway, I ordered coco coir from the internetweb, but I will not have it in time for the innoculation. I don't need it then though, right? I can still get good yeilds if I use 2 parts verm and I part BFR and then case with 80/20?
