storing dry mushrooms

hi.
not a long time ago afoaf finaly got 1 once of dry shrooms but cannot really keep them in his home. he lives in qc/canada and he was wondering if he could just dig a hole outside in the wood and put the shroom bag in a bag in that hole and cover it with dirt.
the thing is that winter is comming soon and so there is sometime going to be snow and sometime not...
do you think his shrooms would be ok and not loose any potency for like 4 month?

Hmmm, you could try buying a cooler, filling it completely with ice, and storing that somewhere, changing the ice every now and then

...big, easy seeable, costly in ice, trouble... changing ice for like 4 month is not realy cool... any other suggestions?

When I lived in Germany I had to get some shrooms out of my possession due to heightened risk of keeping them where I lived. Some one else got caught. Well any way, I took them into the woods and put them under a big rock buried a little bit. I came back for them in two months and one of the bags had bee robbed by bugs. The other 7 were fine and once consumed, proved to be of wonderful potency.

So, if you do this, you'll want to make sure that the shrooms are packed up tight as a drum.

I remember that it was about October when I put them in the ground. It was starting to get cold about then.

I hope this helps you decide what to do.

cool dry place...if they are dry,will work just fine
don't burry them... bad idea,and if you do anyway use some good tupperware

You could bury them but I would tripple ziplock them, then wrap that package with many layer of duct tape... like a brick of weed. You don't want water/bugs getting in.
