He is a rookie though so it makes sense you've never heard of him.

For all the people who don't have the patience to watch a baseball game, here is a 5 minute version of the no-no.
http://m.giants.mlb.com/sf/video/v153456783/?affiliateId=clubMEGAMENU
It was such a clean no-hitter, nobody really threatened him all game. Pretty much all ground balls and strike outs (11). Heston even had a couple RBIs as well. And by the 8th inning everybody in the stadium (this was in NY) was cheering for him.

He hit 3 batters, 2 in one inning fairly early on. That was a threat but a nifty DP got him out of it. They played some stellar D behind him.

What I meant by no threat is there was really no hard hit balls or anything. It was almost all routine ground-outs. Usually in a no-hitter there is at least 1 miraculous catch in the outfield or a some hard line drives that are caught, that didn't happen this time.
But yea, one of those hit batters was in the bottom of the 9th and he still managed to strike out the side to end the game.

I saw a couple tough infield plays that were made. Not saying they were scoring threats but they certainly were hit threats.

St. Louis Cardinals are being investigated by the FBI for hacking computers and stealing information from the Houston Astros . This is a pretty serious crime, if it's true somebody is going to be in big big trouble.
I'm glad the Giants have made the Cardinals their postseason bitches over the past few years.

Yeah. They know it came from the Cardinals but they don't know who precisely. The NY Times reports it isn't anybody high up in the front office but it definitely came from there.

Max Scherzer was 1 strike away from a perfect game and hit the batter, had to settle for a no-hitter.

I didn't agree with the announcers who said Tabata leaned into the pitch and even if he did I don't blame him. His job isn't to help Scherzer make history. His job is to get on base and help the Pirates to get a rally going and win the game.
That was exciting though.

Leaning into a pitch is an automatic out, however, it is rarely called by the umpires. I think it's happened like one time this year. Whether Tabata leaned into it I couldn't tell.

Sure looked like it to me, They are supposed to make an effort to get out of the way, as well. It was a bush league move that umpires ignore all the time. Like the traveling in the NBA.

I know. You wanted to hate him. We wanted to hate him. He's hitting the baseball pretty fucking good. It's a semi-embarrassing situation for management, because they hoped to invalidate the whole contract, but only got out of one year. He gets paid too much, but after a year of suspension, he is producing.

Bumgarner got his 1000th career strikeout yesterday (youngest Giant ever to do so) and hit a home run in a dominant win. Dude is still kicking ass.
