Above average seems average?
My work requires that I make decisions and direct people. Sometimes a client asks a question and I have to either answer, which is almost all of the time, or tell them I don't know but will find out. Sometimes it is a sub or worker and the same thing happens. I get utterly fucked if I don't have enough answers or if I am wrong. This tempers a man over 30 years. You learn what you know and what you don't and how to find out. You also learn to pre-emptively ask questions before the process gets too far and becomes an expensive fix.
Contracting is fun like that.

Well, maybe it'll help you to humble yourself to hear that you've failed to comprehend my point.
Anyway, fuck this shit. How does it feel to be Yankees fan these days?

I am proud of my boys for fighting so hard through mind numbing adversity.
Your point was nonsensical. Above average is average? It is certainly no comprehension failure on my part.

It was an interesting incident the other day when Ryan Dempster hit A-Rod with a pitch after nearly hitting him with the previous three. It was one of those weird situations where almost everybody got to look good.
Dempster looked good because he struck a blow for everyone whose sick of all this PED business, and I'm sure there are a lot of other pitchers who wish they could have hit him first.
A-Rod looked good because he hit a homer on his next at bat and helped the Yankees beat the Red Sox, and that's the best revenge a hitter can get.
Joe Girardi looked good because he ran out there and went bat shit crazy on the umpire for not warning or ejecting Dempster before the fourth pitch.
In other related news, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said he was no longer saying anything other than hello or goodbye to A-Rod because they are in a "litigious" situation. A-Rod is suing the Yankees for allegedly intentional bad medical treatment. His lawyers say the Yankees President told the surgeon who operated, that it would be fine with him if A-Rod never played baseball again.
Since I referred to Ryan Dempster in complimentary terms at the beginning of this post, I feel that I must now be fair and balanced. When he was on the Cubs, me and all my White Sox fans friends referred to him as Cum Dumpster.

Such a bizarre situation in NY these days. The tension must be as thick as butter over in that locker room and the Yankee offices.

I just got reminded by the newspaper article that the Yankees were just as crazy in the 70's. George Steinbrenner firing Billy Martin four times and Reggie Jackson doing whatever the hell he wanted.

Don't forget Steinbrenner trying to smear Winfield. That cost him two years. There is nothing the Yankees can do about A-Rod except play him. And Dempster needs to be reminded that 1. he is a member of the union and 2. he has at least one teammate who failed a drug test. I do not believe there is any assertion by baseball that A-Rod failed a test in relation to this biogenesis crap.

I've got this feeling that if the Yanks can stay in the wildcard race, the arbitrator wont decide till the season is over. A-Rod is starting to hit and Cub castoff Soriano is carrying the team along with Cano. If they get a little healthier at other positions this could be a very interesting September.

There is no chance that there will be a hearing before the end of the season just for logistical reasons. This is going to be far more like a court case than your typical arbitration hearing.

Selig is at least as big of a douche bag as A-Rod.

He's a real 'cover your own ass' type of bureaucrat.
Uggla Heyward Hudson on the DL. Are the Braves headed for Autumnal collapse?

I don't really care or know anything about it but I'm hoping it's A's-Pirates in the WS.

Sox - Cards world series is seemingly the most likely outcome.
