Go Colo-angel-zona!
Check the Mariners, One of the best pitchers the game has seen, newly acquired one of the best hitters in the game. 3-5 young players commin up with the team and becoming exciting. Won their first two games with a combined 18 runs against divisional opponent.
Don't expect too much tho..never expect too much..
Nice field.

The only pitchers i know off the top of my head are CC, Strasbourg, Verlander, and Kershaw.
I thought Verlander was supposed to be king?
I like Arizona because i remember watching Randy Johnson beating the Yanks in that epic series when i was a kid, and thats my only real baseball memory. The sox in 04 too but fuck both NY and Boston.

Felix Hernandez - 9 year career (not counting this season..)
Perfect game - 1
ERA - 3.20
Complete games - 23
Shut outs - 9
Strike outs - 1703
WHIP - 1.202
Andy Pettitte - 17 year
Perfect game - Not sure but from what I saw his longest lasted 7 innings?
ERA - 3.85
Complete Games - 26
Shut outs - 4
Strike outs - 2448
WHIP - 1.351
Not sure what other stats could tell more of his story.
Felix is the shit, let us not forget that he's been on a shit team that couldn't score runs his entire career. I wish I could find out how many games he's lost by a 1 run score, sickening.
I'm not PooPooing Andy, I don't care too much at all about baseball out of my state, so I don't claim to know much about the sport but I do know I loves me some Felix

I’ve always wondered why Seattle has an outdoor stadium and Tampa is indoor. Do they have mad rain delays or what?
Seems like your mariners are off to a good start.
The rangers had a sick rally tonight. Walked away from the game at the bottom of the 9th philly up 2-0 thinking it was over. Came back bases loaded tie game, and the rangers end up winning it.

Retractable roof.
They are off to a great start and i'm so GA dang excited (for the time being.).
I saw that walk to walk off winner, how strange lol. I enjoy watching the Rangers and Mariners play especially Felix pitching against his friend Beltre lol.

Tim Hudson threw great today, got a standing ovation his first home outing as a Giant. Brandon Belt has 5 home runs already, and the Giants are off to a 6-2 start

Arizona scored 3 runs. Granted I don’t really know much about baseball but that hardly sounds like a good outing for a pitcher.
Shit if AZ had any pitching at all they would be dece.

Yea, you don't know much about baseball
He gave up 2 earned runs in 8 innings, you expect shut outs every day or what?

Nah not at all. I would much prefer a slug fest over a pitching contest honestly.
You ever make it to games Ran-d? If i lived in San Fran i would go to giants games all the time, that park is just stunning.

Yea it definitely is a cool ass stadium, and the fan atmosphere is great. I only go once or twice a year though, and sometimes I go see them when they play in Oakland because it's a little cheaper.

Most of us would prefer some runs scored but if you get into baseball alittle more and pick out some solid pitchers it's pretty fun to watch them play head games with the batters. A dominating pitching performance is just as fun or more than runs. (imo)

They just announced a new set of reliever of the year awards: the Mariano Rivera A.L. Reliever of the Year and the Trevor Hoffman N.L. Reliever of the year.
This shows the increasing importance of relief pitchers in baseball, changing from one award for MLB to one for each league like the Cy Young. I don't know if this will make it more difficult for a reliever to also get the Cy Young. I believe there were two years previous when the best reliever won the Cy Young and the league MVP.
What's interesting about this award is that there is no voting by sportswriters and fans. The voting will be done by Rivera, Hoffman, and 7 other HOF or HOF caliber closers.
Even though all the judges are closers, I bet there will be an occasional year when a setup man wins the award.

Ya i guess i just need to develop more respect for the game. Its pretty fun to watch them get out of jams.
I have a question I’ve seen a few grounders into a double play, is that good pitching, or a batter error? Same question with fly balls i guess.
