I was rooting for Cleveland as my only connection to either team was the Indians. Saw them play the mariners. Snuck into seats right next to white Sox scouts. Funniest older dudes I've ever met.
Let me get this straight I paid to get in and your getting paid to be here. Yep and the explained a lot to me while marking there cards and just laughing as I was moderately drunk. Than caught a foul ball. I gave it to a kid as I knew it would make his day more than mine. The security guard came down and I just told him I'm not even supposed to be here. Shook my hand your fine. I'd already been kicked out of one seat haha. Right behind home plate. Best vantage point on the field imo.
I wanted to keep it sure but it was my 2nd baseball game but I'm not 9 anymore. Than they're were fireworks. I love baseball games.
Well I got a standing ovation as I was on the jumbo tron after catching it. Then handed it to the little kid 2 rows in front of me. I really did want to keep it though who knows if I'll ever get another but I'd do it again.

That's rad ew
I was rooting for the Indians mostly out of meanness
I have to say you gotta respect the way the Cubs did it
Back when they renovated Wrigley I was against it thinking they're messing with tradition
Then they built the team up, hired Maddon- climbed out of a 1-3 deficit
Congrats to their old school long suffering fans

I fell asleep in the 8th. Wish I'd have seen the whole thing, but I'd have had a hard time sleeping if I'd stayed up. Super happy for the Cubs! About time!

As a Cubs fan, I knew better.
After the 5th I told my girlfriend I'd come to bed in a minute. That minute turned into 3 hours.

Yeah it was... And that game was insane last night
I really questioned a few of Joe's decisions in regards to pitching, but I guess it worked out OK... Luckily for him. That would've really had people up in arms had they lost. Just thank fuck they managed to get those 2 runs in extras.

Ya haha. I always buy the cheapest seats like 20$ for mariner games. Than sit wherever the hell I please
One of the best days I've had in downtown Seattle. The others come from the hawks sb win. And the year we beat green Bay at home in the playoffs the year we lost to the pats I believe. The ground shakes with the noise of the crowd. A friend and I were at a bar like less than half a mile away.
We Snuck into the stadium as everyone was leaving and sat right behind one of the goal posts and hung out for like an hour taking in how cool it would've been to have been there. Hawks games have just gotten so expensive it's hard to fit in the budget.
The baseball story is one of my fondest to recount as I went by myself and had a blast. And everything seemed to just fall into place. The scouts were impressed as It popped over the net and I caught it one handed extending. You used to play baseball huh. From 5-13 sir.

He's amazing for what he's been able to accomplish, especially at his age. It's quite something.
Idk if people like him make the HOF, but if so, I think he's a shoo-in

The only part of that Game 7 that wasn't ideal was the poor umpiring behind home plate. He was pretty consistently bad for both sides so I guess that it didn't matter although he did ring Napoli up on a pitch that was a ball all night long until his at bat in the bottom of the 10th. Napoli had a shit series so he probably wasn't getting on base anyways.
That rain delay was pretty inconvenient too.

Ya that was something I noticed. Both teams got screwed a couple times. Many batters walked off the plate pissed. What the fuck. The umpiring was very inconsistent.
The base dudes there all so old they half assed there strike calls and everything especially the one at 3rd. Why not get younger people who play the games that actually have eyes that work.
They all looked like they hardly wanted to be there wanting to go home and watch the game on TV.

I can't believe the Indians really get away with that logo though. Can you imagine if it was some big-lipped black guy named Sambo smiling as their mascot?

Some dude had a "Caucasians" shirt that had the Indians logo, except he was yellow(ish) and had dollar signs instead of a feather in the back.
He wore it on national TV of some sort and of course, people were getting pissed at that? the racist tribe logo is fine I guess, but how dare he do that to Caucasians

You can find articles about it if you want, but here's the shirt itself
I'd wear it
