Man.. Moore handled the Cubs.. They should've just left him in.
That fucked up bunt DP attempt is what got em.

They should have brought Romo in for a clean inning. I know he blew it last night, but he was still their best option I think.

Seriously? I'm a Cubs fan. I know frustration and heartbreak pretty well by now. 2003 was the absolute worst, though.

At least the Giants have 3 titles in 6 years... So that kinda helps I'd imagine...?

Cause you weren't around for 69. Kessinger, Beckert, Williams, Santo, Banks, Hundley, Fergie and Holtzman. The most Hall of Famers for a team that didn't advance (not all of them were HOF). I think that was the worst Heartbreak ever. I'm not a Cubs fan so why do I remember this so well. I think it was a combination of having friends who were fans (and I have 2 close friends now which is the only reason why I'm rooting for them), or the fact that in 69 the Cubs were on WGN, and they were on in the afternoon, and the Sox were on a series of fuzzy UHF stations (26, 32, and 44), which you couldn't tune on your TV.

Yeah, I didn't follow them like you did, but that's what the national media said too. Good team, bad bullpen.

I know that was a gigantic win for the Cubs but I never liked seeing the Braves celebrate that hard that early.

Yeah the braves were a great national league team for a decade , with an incredible pitching staff, but they only won that one world series against Cleveland. I guess bad luck. nobody had better pitching.

Trust me, you're way too nice of a person to get as angry as I do over this shit. It's not a good thing for me, just saying.

I thought the celebration was a bit much.. I know every team does it, but I feel like that sort of celebration should be after you win the pennant... And then a mega one if you win the World Series.

schLong, who would you prefer to face next. Maddon was obviously noncommittal, but mentioned something about the shorter plane ride to Washington. Lot of my local Cub fan friends want the Dodgers, but I would go with the Nats.

Dodgers swept the Cubs out 8 years ago, still have a bad taste in my mouth about that.. Revenge would be nice, but I just don't wanna see them in the post season again. Same with Arizona and Florida (Miami)

So it is the Dodgers, for better or worse.

So Mike and Mike (little Mike) just said that the stub hub price of Cub's World Series tickets was set at 20K. I don't even know if they were good seats.

So Clayton Kershaw came in for his first Major League save in history. Their manager said before the game, there was no way this would happen, but he came in for 7 pitches. I still think the Cubs are the deepest team. And they have been able to, because of their success, stack their rotation exactly the way Maddon wanted. The other teams, doing what they had do to get in had to use up pitchers, and can't start their #1 in game one.

I picked the Dodgers to beat the Cubs. I also picked Texas to win the WS, so we will see lol.
The Dodgers most glaring weakness is left handed pitching. The Cubs don't have a ton of that, not in the rotation anyways. Should be a good series.
