If that wasn't a specific location I don't know what is.
I'd have to see the underside but the mushrooms in the photo look like a Chlorophyllum species (Shaggy Parasol). They might have been a good edible when they were fresh.

Most wild edibles should be cooked before eating to reduce the risk of adverse reactions. This is particularly true with Chlorophyllum and Macrolepiota species, as some people are sensitive to them when raw. Shaggy parasols are great fried up in some butter.

Luvly finds
Why you pull the roots up for? Cut them off and leave the stem buts in the ground, the patch will love you for it

I'd say that they are Subaeruginosa, thats the nuts and bolts of it............... , pun fun
But you wanna wait for a TI to identify them if your unsure. If you post an ID thread then you may get a response quicker?

Some of those look like that taxon that we are calling Psilocybe subsecotioides Inski nom. prov.

Yes i was thinking along the same lines when i saw that pic. Really unusual morphotype.
Love to do some molecular work comparing these groups.
SanMesc: look up Psilocybe subsecotioides using search on this site, and google, the cap has a "sagging" sort of look about it, that dont lift up like P. subaeruginosa or P. cyanescens do, but more like some P. azurescens.
I so wanna do a PhD on this group of Psilocybe .... but there are probably others better placed than I, and funding looks liek a problem.

The white balls that open up to the tentacled flesh smelling things are Clathrus archeri (Anthurus archeri)
I find them in my local walking trails too
Next lot look like Coprinellus disseminatus
Then a Bolete sp.
Then probably an Amanita sp.
Got me beat on the Polypore, but probably Piptoporus sp., and last group look like Agaricus sp.
