Where did I say the album exhibited any talent, exemplar musicianship, or qualities that made it outstanding?
Please provide one quote.

I just think its funny that you bash a guy for one thing while liking the album that is pretty on par with what your criticisms, especially since everyone with that viewpoint also likes that album

Ok, but feel free to answer the question any time.
Which I know you won't, because you can't.

Its not about being wrong in public. You came in a memorium thread trying to have some unique "indie" opinion on Nirvana.

"hes only popular because hes dead, i like his earlier stuff"

By the way this is my favorite song

Fuck Kurt Cobain. His explosion of fame can be directly linked to the explosion of his brain.
Completely mediocre, forgettable musician who happened to be in the right scene in the right era.

I'd say I'm glad he's dead, but if he were still alive, he might not be such a big fucking deal.

hopefully you're aware that plateau isn't a nirvana song originally.

^gotta say i like the meat puppets original better, the same goes for "oh me". the one song of theirs that nirvana covered that i think they truly did justice to was lake of fire because that cover was less straightforward and brought a unique quality to it.

That is a great opiate song.

This song is pretty wild. It was the last song he ever played in his last concert if i recall correctly. The way his voice cracks gives me chills every time

Pigasus i know its not but the meat puppets suck.

Lake of fire is another great that isnt his. Just like how all along the watch tower isn't jimmies but fuck Dylans version anyway.

wow. not to sound like a dick but i'm now disregarding your musical opinions forthwith. i admit i find their material after the second album disappointingly average, but everything up to and including meat puppets II fucking kicks ass.

:2cents:

also, where did you sleep last night isn't a nirvana song either.

now if you tell me leadbelly sucks, i'll have to find you and kill you.

Speaking of Kurt Cobain, for anyone that hasn't already seen 'About a Son', I can't recommend it enough. It's not so much about Nirvana but rather the life story of Kurt Cobain spoken in his words straight from his mouth for listeners alike to enjoy.

You can view the trailer here:

i'm not saying that the original version of songs are inherently better than cover versions. far from it. i honestly wasn't even pointing either of those out to project any air of superiority or shit like that, i just like to point these things out in case someone doesn't know.

keep in mind i have never been one to talk shit about nirvana, if you look at my posts in this thread and others i love cobain'n'company.

Oh sorry about my reaction bro. I thought you were going for the one up. I didn't mean the Meat Puppets suck in the sense that Nicki Minaj sucks, i just wouldn't put them with the likes of Nirvana.

Damn ill have to check that movie out. I bought his journals and shit when i was a teenager. I was pretty obsessed with Nirvana when i was 12-16
