Yes foxglove is not something for an amatuer to mess with......

I would imagine you would need to extract a pure form of the desired alkaloids from the plant in order to safely and accurately dose....because im sure the alk. content would vary from plant to plant..........

i'll see if i still have an article on this and post if so............

>>such as it contains glucosides which increase blood pressure. i

I donno if it contains Glucosides, as in diabetic medications (Glucagon TM), but it does contain Cardiac Glycosides, which means it'll kill you by decreasing cardiac output thus dropping your blood pressure, and bam you're dead. If you live in a place with Volunteer EMS agencies you're probably a goner as they might not make it to you in time depending on the time of day, and alsol the volunteer as well as well as the paid squads can't do much but manage your airway and do CPR, you gotta wait for the NREMT-P (paramedics) to come and administer drugs, and i donno if they can even do anything to help you, other than epinephrine and shock your shit.

Doctors won't mess with you?

Go to America and see a real fucking doctor.

Fox glove contains 4 glucosides, of three of which are cardiac stimulants. The most powerful, which is highly poisonous, is digitoxin, which is a cumulative toxin that can easily kill you
Side effects of poisoning, which occurs even in small doses range from
headaches, to diarrhea. Other symptoms to name a few are fainting, blurred vision, irregular heart beat (or slowing), rashes and depression.

However it has been used for hundreds of years to aid in heart problems such as low blood pressure but it was commonly used on external wounds. There are many "potions" out there I can send you one if you need it....

Well atleast someone got to the bottom of it. However I think glucoside is still wrong as that referrs to glucose, glycosides has always been the term i've found in reference to fox glove.

However still don't try using this plant.
