If you had to vote nominate a candidate for the Democrats...

who would it be and why? (you can include Al Gore or Hillary Clinton if you like). I would pick Joe Lieberman. He is stronger on national defense than some of the other candidates and is fairly moderate. He is also not afraid to disagree with others in his party.

I vote for Dean.

He'll do a better job of alienating voters.

Al Sharpton for the comedy show.

Dennis Kucinich.

He wants to end the war on drugs.

Heck, even Willie Nelson likes him (and held a fundraising concert on his behalf)!

I'd vote for Kucinich if I thought he'd have a prayer in hell of winning, but since he doesn't, I'm voting for the second best candidate, Howard Dean.

Here's a mini-poll. First decide if you are more conservative or liberal, then pick your favorite candidate from the top or bottom poll (it's not possible to vote in both). If you like, make a comment as to why you chose that person, as originally requested in this thread:

I consider myself conservative and I like:
Carol Moseley Braun
Howard Dean
John Edwards
Dick Gephardt
Bob Graham
John Kerry
Dennis Kucinich
Joe Lieberman
Al Sharpton

I consider myself liberal and I like:

Carol Moseley Braun
Howard Dean
John Edwards
Dick Gephardt
Bob Graham
John Kerry
Dennis Kucinich
Joe Lieberman
Al Sharpton

Votes accepted from (12/31/69 07:00 PM) to (No end specified)
View the results of this poll

I could've swore I picked Kucinich in the liberal poll, but when I viewed the results, it showed one vote for Kucinich in the upper half.  I think the "view results" may be backwards; the top half is the liberal results, and the bottom is the conservative results?
