I decided to say hello to my weilii patches from last fall....to see how the winter, spring, and summer had been treating them, to comfort them, to dance on their hiding field, to smile down on their magic, and take in the aroma.....
i didn't expect to anything, but as soon as i got with 100 feet i could smell them and i knew before i saw the first one that there were a few smiling at the sky.
if the moistuure keeps up...it's going to be a memorible season.
i'll upload a couple more tomorrow.....lookey below

They rank up there with Cyans and Azures... Some of the most potent in the world. As far as we know they only grow in Georgia.
Weilii pickers, start checking your spots. They're starting to come back up. The season is beginning as we speak

Hi, I live in the lowlands of North Carolina and I have spotted shrooms that look just like your last pic. Could you please tell me what color the spore print was on those that you picked?

you need to d a search on "Psilocybe Weilii"; this will give you all the info you need.
this species is only known from Georgia as far as i know.

it is my mission to find them in north east alabama this yerar. does any one think i have a chance? the habitats are pretty much the same as georgia lots of sweet gum trees and good red dirt am i just hoping or is there a chance?

it's worth a shot i suppose. i'm sure this species is more widely distributed that currently known but i wouldn't stake the farm on finding it.

i have been using the same hypotesis here in sc.....i'm about an hour and half north of atlanta. they have been found in athens as well, which is only about a half hour or so away. i have a hard time believing they are not around upstate sc, but if they are here i will find them....
