MHRB stress!

Ok so I ordered some of this previously and without issue. Now I've been randomly seeing some weird shit online about stuff getting confiscated, people getting busted for having this (so I thought) legal plant matter.
Well, I saw this shit after I placed a 5 kg order of the shit. God damn it. Am I fucked here?? Would be coming from mexico to the US. The seller has since said its no problem and they've been shipping to the US for quite some time with no issues but now I'm concerned... They even said if for some reason it doesn't arrive they would reship the order but with whole bark this time, which would be the last thing I'd actually want if it turns out this stuff is somehow legally problematic to be getting.

You'll probably be fine, but I am not 100% sure.

Do you have any idea what the likely repercussion would be if I end up not being fine? Do they raid over this shit? Or would they be more likely to just snag the package? Or is it a controlled delivery and charged with possession type of thing?
If you don't know the answer to these questions that's perfectly fine, I'm just posting here in the off chance that someone might have a better idea of what the most likely outcome would be in the event customs finds it.

There was a thread in TPE where a member said the police showed up at his house because of a MHRB order. From what I recall, he refused to speak with the police and they arrested him. But they had nothing on him and eventually let him go without filing charges. I think this guy was lucky. I'm sure a search of his computer would have revealed intent.
I'd clean house, practice keeping my mouth shut, and hope for the best.

Well my order is being shipped to a P.O. box... I guess if it gets there and the piece of paper in my p.o. box telling me I have an oversized package has any sketchy markings on it I will just leave it and forget about it. I figure they couldn't do anything then..

It's no more or less legal than it ever was. It's still grey area, depending on intent. LEO is just really catching on to what we do with it.

even though these results most likely vary, you may be interested in my experiences
i had a 12lb package from brazil in miami customs at the exact same time the SS shit went down last year. it was from the same supplier too. the package was never released from customs, and that was it. it's now 7 months later and still nothing more ever became of it. nobody came to my house or anything. i'm just out the money i paid.
and btw, in 2010 i ordered a small 250g pack from mexico. that one sat in customs for exactly 1 month before finally making it's way to me.

Weird. I bought a Kg of it about a year ago and it shipped 100% fine. No issues whatsoever. This package does have tracking on it as well so I should be able to keep an eye on it which is nice. The last update on the tracking is the first update posted which is from 3/27 at 8:18 in Mexico. Hopefully everything is cool with it.
Even if it was found and all that shit, there are no stories of them getting search warrants over purchasing the powdered rootbark, correct? House, phone...anything like that in an attempt to prove intent? If its legality is just as uncertain as it was the first time I ordered it, that makes me feel a little better because there was no issue. However, that size was a little less noticeable. 5 kg would likely catch your eye... Guess we'll see.

A major vendor was busted in a joint effort of customs and the DEA in September - that's why no US vendors sell it anymore. They came in, guns blazing, did the whole raid and confiscated everything. No arrests were made though because the vendor had no extractions in progress. From what I recall, there were some buyers who customs tipped local police to and there were at least two stories that I heard of on this site dealing with the fallout.

Well, after all of the reading I've done regarding this, I still am not sure what to think. I guess I can hope that A.) The 5 kg makes it through without being checked and there is no holdup whatsoever, or B.) That customs simply takes it if they find it and send a "love letter" and its just done with.
I'm a little nervous about drawing attention or something over this but at the same time I can't imagine anything too serious coming from it because I'm not extracting anything at all. Probably tiedye a shirt or two and resell the rest of the powder to other people who like to use to organic dyes but can no longer find a source for this particular one.

No, that means it's crossing into customs. It has to do this before it enters the states.

Did it make it through customs? I just placed an order for 1kg from Mexico and it's making me kind of anxious...

Anon 4, did you read this thread and the linked one before you ordered a kilo from Mexico?

No I ordered 3 days ago and just found this thread today and now I'm nervous. Did the link order from the same vendor? I haven't gotten a confirmation of shipment yet, but I did send the money.
edit: PLUS, when they raided the re-sellers, they never charged them with anything correct? Doesn't this imply maybe a grey area still?

As far as I know there are only a handful of international source vendors, a guy from Mexico (G****** T***?) and someone from Brazil. I think all US vendors got their stuff from those two. Maybe customs isn't as concerned since they clamped down in September. Good luck and have a clean house just in case they come.
