Package returned to post office?

My package with a gram of LSB got sent back to the post office because I wasn't at my place to sign for it when they wanted to drop it off, but I specifically asked for no sig shipping , but I used a fake name and I don't have the "proper ID" to pick it up. What should I do?

You have to show id to sign for a package? I never have. Say you are picking it up for a relative if they really do ask for ID. Was it shipped internationally with a tracking number? Anything I have ever had ship internationally with delivery confirmation, needs signed for, even if the original sender did not ask for.
I wouldn't sweat too hard.

It was most likely sent registered mail, and they will require an ID. Call the PO, and request another delivery attempt on a date / time you'll be around.

First off OP, never use fake names!

Yeah they ask for ID. He could call in and say Joe Buttfuck (his real name) is going to pick up the package for him(his fake name).

Why would you sign for illegal drugs? That sounds like an awful idea.

I'm going saying I'm picking it up for someone else and if they ask for proof I'll give them a copy of the gas bill with the address on it. If they don't give it to me I'll try something else
EDIT: Also how would I get my PO's phone number?

A lot of illegal drugs are sent using a method that requires a signature. Especially if they came in internationally. This is presumably so people don't say they never got it and rip off the seller.
When I sign for packages at the post office they don't usually ask for ID.

I pick up a TON of stuff from the post office with express, tracking, sig, etc.....and have NEVER in my life had to sign for it. Maybe I am lucky?
