Back for a cheeky lil tricho dump My battle axe graft got knocked over by the wind and snapped off sadly, got it in it's own pot rn.

Variegated pachanoi, new growth has a very light variegation to it but seems to really yellow up when it get's older.

A couple of TBMC's, including a lil graft of a guy that has a leaf sticking out

And lastly, the beautiful Trichocereus spp. cv 'Chemical Shamans Dick' (RIP)
I say spp. only because it was from a batch of seeds that were all bridgesii except this guy, however the bridgesii-ness doesn't seem to be around.

I've had mine for 4 years never fertilized or repotted. How often do you have to do either of these?

Almost NSFW ^^
I am reading that after a while you can get seedlings adjusted to indirect sunlight, but not direct sunlight until much later..
Any ideas about using something as a diffuser for artificial light? I could fashion a screen and hang it as a roof over the seedlings, from some slightly milky / opaque plastic... Also got a new LED COB, there is a diffuser lens in the DIY kit but I am not sure if I want to put it on. Maybe much better for protection of the COB chip - I have no idea how much light is lost with a diffuser...

Troubleshooting with germination. I've got four seeds each of three trich species in containers using Z's method for sowing: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=23&Number=20171967&fpart=&PHPSESSID=
They're on a windowsill with bright shade but never direct light. Temperature is around 73-75 in the day and gets down to 71 at night. I sowed them on September 1 and so far I have zero germination. I'm concerned I might have the soil a little on the dry side. How long do you all think I should wait until I open up the cling wrap and give a small misting and reseal?
This is my first time starting from seed so I'm not sure what time scale to expect, though I had heard 7-10 days. Thanks

Hey blue, it could 3-5 days to as long as a month or more.. some might be sprouting now and you could have a couple that pop out sometime in oct.. i started my last grow in the last week of august and im still waiting on about a quarter. The viability of your seed is the deciding factor, tho. Do you have a way to bottom water them? Thats the only way to take off for me.

It should not, but best time to apply anything is in the morning while the sun is not too bright. Test it on a pere leaf or something to see how your plants react.
My cactus is all scared because I used a consternation without a label and applied during high intensity light. Most organic or chemical treatments will cause burning if applied during peek light hours. Not recommened at night unless you live in a hot dry area, this is to prevent mold.

It shouldn't but I would do a test spot first, or use on a cactus you don't mind using as a guinea pig. Would be wise to spray late in the day and then keep out of direct light for a while. Just in case the waxy layer gets dissolved and the cactus gets sun burn.
@vatman: Those Black spots might be the cactus sorting itself out. So long as the Black spots dont go deep and are only on the surface they should clear up in time. It's just going through the motions of repair after whatever caused those scars. Excessive humidity could be causing the spots to spread. I'm not sure what your set up is but little pimple-like Black spots do arise from time to time in humid environments. I'm just waking up so my post composition might not be too great. It should improve as the caffeine starts flowing.

I didn't post this last night but should I remove this one from the house? Not sure how infectuis these spots are and if they can be treated with neem/copper sulfate.
