Hows it goin over there, friend?
Unit is flooded and some minor damage nothing bad here at the plant. But I heard some of the coastal towns are really bad off. I'm sure I have trees down at the property. I evacuated all the cactus to the garage, left the lights on, set up a box fan. I'll probably be at work until tomorrow or monday.

So made a mix of light coper sulfur and dish soap.
Added the copper because I was going to be sorting down the plant with dish soap and water. Thought to myself I'd need do something about rot if I was going to attack these mites

Hi everybody, ima germ some cacti seeds well i am in a soil mix of a lil bit of worm castings but mainly coir N verm, does that sound okay?(bridge helen? N pachanoi) And can i use that mix to log my san Pedro? Okay jist read never use verm for cacti so remaking a new mix with about 50% little gravel in lue of perlite

Verm is fine as an addition To improve moisture holding in the soil. Even commercial bag mixes contain soil wetters and moisture holding crystals. Coir and verm together will hold way too much moisture and you'll most probably end up with rot problems.
Go by a bag of cactus mix and sift out the larger chunks with a pot to get a fine cactus seed mix.

Yeah baby! Looks like you got hold of 3 of the most popular / prevalent trichs!
I got a decent germination rate on a tray full of Scop / Bridgesii hybrid but got only one germinated Pach x Juul's Spiny Giant (did not sow quite that many though but still). I was able to germinate some T. Macrogonus quite a while after none seemed to've come up initially! (Maybe I will get some extra ones on delay with that Juul hybrid too) And I might be looking at some T. Huanocoensis hybrid [source fuzzy on the details], which apparently instead means T. Santaensis but hey I don't know that one either so we'll just have to see!
I'm gonna have some serious space deficit in my growhouse later especially since I am growing a forest of peres for grafting madly..
Gonna have to get creative! And besides, this way I won't have to start new plants when I start a new job later, although repotting is also a bunch of work, lol

Does this seem okay? Its coir with a tiny bit of worm castings for nutes with them sprinkled on top and lightly misted. Im going off the "bag" method principals, also keeping it on top of the warm spot on my ps to keep it warm cause its cold in my house.

I see 1 or 2 tap roots poken out and some green showing were the shells are starting crack, mostly the pach the bridge not so much but thats probly cause i didnt use that many on that side. I also put some holes in and covered it with micropore tape to get some sort of air flow so its just not stagnant air like u would put in a monotub. I neglected to open it up for a few nights to change the hope that didnt fudge it up to bad

I just stumbled across an interesting concept.. what if, while in this dimension, we are taking care of our sacred plants, off in another dimension, right under our fat noses, our plants are actually taking care of us, growing and propigating the best parts of the best people.. What a strange place and time to be..

They would probably throw me away lol. Im not a very good anything but if they ate parts of me they would probably get drunk. I love dimensional theories.

I've got a bunch of things to upload but I woke up the other morning and discovered there was a frost. A collection I have was recently moved and I saw some of it had frozen dew on them. No harm came and about half an hour later the frozen droplets had defrosted and starting to evaporate. It was a pleasant Spring morning once the Sun rose.
