I get that sometimes on plants that stay damp, it doesn't seem to bother anything, but if you want rid of it hit it with some peroxide.

Just snapped some picks of a couple of my favorite grafts, bridgesii from seed

The second one is fatter than some of my adult cacti, definitely a keeper. Cut a pup off it and impaled it in 2 halves, my buddy was wanting a clone hopefully by spring it will be ready.

You have to root the stock before applying the graft? I kinda want to do a few loph grafts here soon.

You can graft to unrooted PC and things, but occassionally the stock will suck the life from the scion before connection is made.
I would always use pre-rooted pereskiopsis

ND those look amazing that one on the right is somethin else, very cool plant.

BTI will get rid of powdery mildew if that's what you've got, I didn't even realize that I had it until I used bti and now I have no more molds goin on, it's quite nice.

I was going to cut up some opuntia and give that a go again. The connection was made, but the cutting wasn't rooted yet and my graft started to look like a raisin over time.

This is the Altmans Pachanoi from Lowes. It has a sawtooth, almost semi-monstrose profile. It looks a lot like a semi-monstrose pc pach, only fatter. But I dont think it is pc.

NDStepp84 I see them at some of the Lowes but not all. Same with Home Depot. Around here they are sold as outdoor landscape plants. Best luck finding it.

I always just check the nursery when I'm buying other plants...
I know the big local suppliers and sometimes buy direct but I still just like to see what they are sending out.
But keep your eyes peeled because there are out there, at least around here.

Someone please quote what I say so he can see it but I'm not going to say anything to anger anyone so no worries there.

Anyways that's an awesome plant there Ferrel. I remember you named those offset growths for me at one point that seem to just grow as strange bumps often not even around an areole.

What were those bumps called again Bro? I can't remember what you told me it was  :justdontknow:

Oh man... Coconut water is not the miracle growing solution I thought it would be!! My newly sewn seeds are competing with white fuzzy mold!!! My guess is the sugars in The coconut water is now being consumed by some kind of fungus. I sprayed with h2o2 and put it outside so it will hopefully kill the infestation.. Any other thoughts/ideas? Seeds haven't germinated yet-it's only been 2 days.

My last sow of trichs took anywhere from 7 days to 3 months to germinate. From seed to harvest, that's going to be even longer. Waiting is something you get accustomed to doing with this hobby.
