Strange happenings. I originally sowed my T. Peruvianus on Apr. 20th. Things left to progress as best they could in spite of my strongest efforts to kill everything. Anyway, initial germination was 3 out of 12. They're all looking good now though, one slightly more robust than its two siblings.
That's not the strange. On July 21st, I suddenly have a new trich seedling. As I was starting to wean plants I moved this into a Ziploc to maintain soil moisture and humidity. Lo and behold, not a few days later, another trich in the tray I'm rescuing. And it's not over, checking today, don't I have yet another trick seedling popping out. It is still wearing it's little black yarmulke but it's in the weaning tray. I'll sacrifice another Ziploc and my firstborn to the trich gods. I'm pumped at my windfall.

Sometimes they're slow like that. I've had some come up 4+ months after sowing.
It's anyone's best guess why this happens though.

I have pots that must be over a year old that I still hold out hope a seedling will pop up. I should start labeling them so I know what they are and can officially call time of death, and move on.

Yesterday i drove the truck to my soil supplier, paying 10 dollars for a truck load of decent grade soil. This is the same soil i grow cannabis in and i havent used nutrients yet. I Bought a 4 bags of Oil-dri and mixed it in a pretty big hole i've had empty for a few months. Oil dri has greatly replaced perlite for the price and qaulity.. The only disadvatage is if you're moving pots around a lot, oil-dri is heavier than perlite, but it isnt boyant.
i removed at least 100 pounds of clay dirt before filling the hole, maybe its an overexxageration , prehaps even an under exageration, either way it was a lot of clay and was well worth disposing of it. Now ive got a giant pile of clay.. Prehaps going to try planting iris's since ive noticed they dont mind roots trapped by clay. I was told plants dont care about clay and they'd grow right through it..Right , i think they dont care "for" clay and would struggle in it.
I bought a T.Tereschckii from a whole sale nursery as a present to myself and planted him in the ground along with , a T.peruvianus (koheres stock) , 2 PC pachanoids, an agave paryri, some echinocereus(i forgwet the name) and an orecereus celainusus.. Oh and woodchips and allenii spawn.
The hole behind it has another T.peruvianus from koheres, a brugmanisa (charles grimaldi), agave paryri, T.Pascasa, and a smaller pc pachanoid,

Sweet! I'd chop that up into a couple sections and root them all. Turn 1 into 3 or more ya know, depending on how much the base stalk pups

You need a good clone. I have some clones gifted to me from turtle hermit that are very bitter. But they are way too big to chop and i wouldnt dare. I have a baggie of almost 4 ft of shortspine peruvian torch but its the real deal pachanoi and some people just pass stuff off as something they are no, thats very magical indeed.

Yh its fairly bitter just tried a little from the top, eugh lol. Looks a good colour, i wont chop her or anything yet i think if leave as is she should pup for me, then later i may chop and see if the stump pups as well. If does pup ill be here asking when and how should i remove them
Do you pull or twist them off or?
Ah to be a noob hahaha. Ive learned so much in recent months here, everyone has been so helpful and very generous when sending items, im immensely grateful to you all, you know who you all are
