Yep, for the past three years there have been lots of monstrose and even some crested San Pedros at Home Depot and Lowes.  Every week during the spring they usually get new shipments so it pays to keep checking.

Trichocereus Growers Unite! [Re: ferrel_human]

If I remember correctly, that is the Cactus Corral clone. They closed down and sold their stock to a nursery that supplies the big box stores.
I think that I read somewhere that it originally came from the Huntingdon.

Lowes is where I found mine yesterday. It was sitting next to a giant barrel cactus. I guess they were the only two large potted cactus on the rack. If it helps, I am in the southeast.

My bridgesii that I just repotted. They were together in a 7" wide pot. I used a mix of commercial cactus soil, sand, extra perlite, and Black Kow, sound ok?

Another shot of the monstrose. Should I repot them?

Knew it was just a matter of time. Found a nice big group of the monstrose pedros at the local HD today, now its chilling on my patio. I was hoping for more obviously monstrose examples but Im not picky.

At some point I will have to take a photo of the rest of my Trichocereus.

Got my first cactus in the mail today! I picked up a Trichocereus Peruvianus (Koehres) from a sponser and she finally came. There were actually two small seedlings for the price of one! Cant wait til they start growing.

While gathering some gravel I found a small cactus I decided to add to my collection.  It appears to be a Potato Prickly Pear(Opuntia fragilis var. brachyartha)I need to order a few more small pots I guess. Can anyone confirm ID?

I havnt grown any cactus before but it seems like a fun hobby. I usually stick to cannabis but decided to expand my garden a little this year.

Be careful. I just started buying cactus recently and spent $160 this week alone. I need to stop spending all my money on plants and take up a cheaper hobby, like heroin.

be really careful keeping that cactus in a mason jar like that. Generally they should never be kept in anything that doesn't have an ample drainage hole in the bottom. I would strongly suggest against keeping it in that for any length of time.

You could probably throw it in a disposable plastic cup full of soil with holes poked on the bottom. You probably have those laying around if you don't have more pots.

Thanks for the advice guys, I placed an order for a dozen small pots and they should be here next week.  I hadnt planned on keeping it in the jar for very long.

I also ordered a couple larger cacti but they wont be here until next week or so.
