Anybody have a spare Landfill cutting? Got a couple -- will be sharing with community at some point.

Mid-cutting/etiolated tip/pup/sickly specimen -- doesn't matter as I'm particularly good at rehabilitating sick plants.
I've got my mind set on gifting some cuttings to fellow forum members that deserve one but can't afford one. Problem is I can't afford the prices online either so would be happy to trade or figure out something in exchange. If anyone is open to that let me know! Besides, I strongly believe that this community should be able to take care of our own without relying on FaceBook or other platforms to source genetics that started here.

Please forgive me for asking  an off topic question, but I feel this thread would have the most knowledgeable and experienced persons…

So mescaline is absorbed in the intestines,
Would it make sense to do a colon cleansing with an over the counter oral product a week or so before a trip to get as much gunk out of your intestines as possible?

The topic of colon cleansing came up at work today:shrug:, got me thinking…
Any thoughts?

Idk, it wouldn't hurt I suppose...

I've heard some cactus shamans give you tobacco juice to purge before giving you tea.

I've never tried either personally and have had good results. I can say that like a lot of other things, it does seem more intense on an empty stomach.

Hm, I have read about to a lot about Tobacco shamanism in South America. This being a practice.
I will be planting some Nicotiana sylvestris with the next two weeks I think…an option to think about.
Though itseems to be a process in its own right.

Random lost label Trichocereus I'm growing (seed), so named "Big Fat Texas". I haven't decided if I want to cut the top 12" off and sell it to help buy a good fan for this tunnel, or let it keep growing. I think it has put on like 5-6" already in this season and it might grow another foot before the year is up.

Dancingwolf, I like when they shift ribs like that.
I say grow it out all season and cut at the end of the summer.
Nice looking plant and great color

Slowly. I actually got some sunburn on a couple of mine because I didn't put the shade cloth up higher this year. It's on the morning/midday sides where they burned. Acclimating them back into the sun is the trickiest part of growing these in cold climates if you ask me.

I would say keep them in a spot with a decent amount of shade for the next couple weeks and slowly ease them into more sun after that. If it's bad it will scab up over time and can sometimes make columns terminate...but sometimes it just discolors them.

Feeding cactus silica (K-Sil) helps them deal with heat and sun better in the summer. I had a few trichs in my flower tent under LEDs two winters ago. Those actually put on some decent looking growth over winter and acclimated really well into the sun in spring. From the dark/low light indoor spot for 6 months right into outside it's not as easy.

I just spread 45 seeds of Trichocereus bridgesii in some soil it’s in tubaware how often does it need to get fresh air? It’s sealed up with the moisture in some shade outside. I’m going to use the high heat to help it germinate its going to be 50f at the lowest and 84f at the highest but my bedroom is like 65F. Hopefully they will grow.

I hope auto correct mistook on for in, in that first sentence. Seed on top, no bury. Also to help with mold and other stuff growing on the organic medium, I found that a light thin layer sprinkled on, of decorative planter sand about 1/16 or less thick works great for seed germ. (even cheaper sand box sand works just as well, I like the sifted/washed particle of the decorative sand)

Thanks,, but sorry no, I really can't even be certain where these seeds came from and I haven't seen much from a quick google search.....I always thought it to be a bridgesii though, never heard good or bad about the clone specfically.

Look like a bridg x scop. Lovely. The aus stuff is rarely "pure" as multiple species have been growing there since the 1700's. It's all great stuff.

Thanks, gave/traded the other kai plants away and this was the only one I kept....maybe grafting that pup will help push out some of that melty look...

.the other 2 in that pot are a Huarazensis Γ— LJ and a Macrogonus Γ— Baker 5452 behind them....makes me think I should give them all their own pot though....at which point in the season do yall prefer to do any repotting?

stagger, I would say definitely repot all of them as they could use the root space and should fill in nicely.
I take cuttings and repot all spring, set them up well to grow like wild all summer.
