Any wonder that it's just a matter of time before it's made illegal?

Not sure if it would even require any new laws to consider it as a container for the already illegal drug mescaline.

Nice little harvest. That's a 5 gallon bucket.

how often would you water some 3 inch bridgesii if they're outdoors and their soil dries out completely in 1 day, 2 days max

No need to repot imho.
Smaller pots make it more difficult to overwater cacti.

is this rot?
about 2-3 weeks ago this guy got knocked on the floor before it had finished throwing roots (not by me!). i put him back in the dry soil with a scaffold and left him there. i pulled him out today to have a look at the roots and this is what i saw. also, there was a long root on there when it fell out the pot, which looked undamaged and healthy, but now its gone. i assume it was growing on the black area though.
it has never been watered yet, before or after.

thanks for the help <3

I would make new cut.
I´m not pro though.
And use cinnamon or sulfur on the new cut.

is it possible that it is damage from the fall that is not rot?
it will start to get cold here very soon and im worried about it being sat with a new cut during dormancy. it is also very shriveled already from using resources to throw roots (twice!). will that be a problem?

thanks for the help <3

Bridges are very prone to rot from too much watering. Way more than pachanoi or peruvianus.
I'd be more cautious with bridgesii, the most cacti I have lost to overwatering were bridges..

 Yeah, it sucks. I think that variegated clone has weak resistance. I dislike weak trichos.
