My first agar/petris!

Hey guys! Just finished my first flow hood build yesterday, and can't wait to give it a shot!
So just a couple of questions regarding my first go at ME Agar's. I have a couple of books on mycology, and of course all of you guys, but the one thing I haven't been able to piece together is part of the inoculation process straight from agar.
Previous to this I've done ms syringe inoculation into masons of wbs. In that you have both tyvek and poly fill filters (which I've always thought created a nominal amount of fae).
So, when going straight from a wedge to my grain spawn do I use a jar with a poly fill port, or just a solid cap? And when opening the jar to drop the cutting in, do I wipe both the threads and the mason lid with alcohol, just the threads, or none of the above?
Awesome, thanks guys! Is there anything else that I should know going into my first petris?

Always use a jar with a filtered GE(Gas Exchange) port.
None of the above. In a SAB(Still Air Box), or in front of a Laminar Flow Hood, open the jar, drop the wedge in, close the jar.
The jar(s) should be wiped with 70% alcohol before hand, but you do not have to get the threads.

Awesome, thank you so much! I had a feeling, but I wasn't sure. So put a poly fill port and wrap it with foil to pc, then when cool, put in front of the flow hood, unwrap and wipe down right?
Thanks again, awesome, pumped!

On my grain jars I punch about a 1/2 inch hole in the lid then I place 2 layers of micropore tape over the hole. I close the lid. Then cover the lid with aluminum foil and pc for 90 minutes. Let them completely cool.Move them to your SAB or LFH wipe the entire jar with an alcohol soaked paper towel Take the aluminum foil off open the lid make the transfer close the lid then leave the aluminum foil off.If there is any moister on the lid Wipe it with an alcohol soaked paper towel. I have done mine in this order for the past 8 to 10 months with 100% success.
