Canadian mushroom laws

I was told by government drug informators that spores are illegal in Canada. Now, I know that's not true, but I can't any information to back up my claim.
They also told me that fresh mushrooms are illegal. I thought they were in the "grey" area...
Now, what I'm looking for is a reference to the Canadian law that points exactly to the paragraphs related to psilocybian mushrooms. I looked around on the Government of Canada website, to no avail.
Can anyone give me a hand?

Hmm...well according to Erowid: "Both Psilocybin and Psilocin are schedule III in Canada. (Note: Canadian schedules are very different than U.S. schedules)." Living in the States as I do, I can't tell you much more... I hope that helps!

According to erowid, its legal in Canada to posses spores, fresh mushrooms, and mycelium (even at the fruiting stage)
I dont know if this is true, but it would be cool if it was.

A link to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act: http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-38.8/text.html
The section relevant to mushrooms: SCHEDULE III 11. Psilocin (3--[2--(dimethylamino)ethyl]--4--hydroxyindole) and any salt thereof 12. Psilocybin (3--[2--(dimethylamino)ethyl] --4--phosphoryloxyindole) and any salt thereof Now I know that before the CDSA came into effect (in '97 I think) the drug laws specifically exempted fresh psilocybin mushrooms. There is absolutely no mention of mushrooms at all in the CDSA, only psilocin and psilocybin.
However, this at the beginning of the Act:
2.(2) For the purposes of this Act, (a) a reference to a controlled substance includes a reference to any substance that contains a controlled substance; and (b) a reference to a controlled substance includes a reference to (i) all synthetic and natural forms of the substance, and (ii) any thing that contains or has on it a controlled substance and that is used or intended or designed for use
I guess this could apply to psilocybin-containing mushrooms.
I'm really just not sure. I've heard many people say, even recently, that fresh mushrooms are still legal in Canada. I can't find any legal way to back up this claim, though.

Yeah, they really remain vuage... The only thing i would say is 'legal' would be the spores... But if you only have a couple mushrooms, i don't thnk there would be jail time...but dozens of jars of only mycelium could probably do it...
