Psylocybin content when stems grow together
    #1798070 - 08/10/03 02:08 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

Alright I know this might not be of the most advanced questions but in a recent flush I put a cake into a round shaped fish bowl. On the bottom I put a tiny layer of premoistened perlite, for the lid I used a plastic cereal bowl and wrapped masking tape around the bowl and then placed the cereal bowl onto the tape to seal it and then wrapped thick clear tape around the bowl to seal it for sure. The same type you use for packaging.

In the beginning I left the tank without any cover and the pins grew where-ever they felt like it then on my fourth flush which put out more fullsized mushrooms then any of my other flushes I wrapped a black shirt around the base of the tank after the shrooms had grown half way and were about to touch the tanks sides.

This caused them to shift and grow straight upward tearing one of the giants stems in a gnarly way this damaged stem then merged with another shroom forming two which created a giant merged middle section.

REAL QUeSTION STARTS HERE
My question go you today is what happens to the psylocybin when this occurs does it flow through both mushrooms as one or is it still divided between the two evenly. Next time I try this I'm going to move the tank around often but only slightly to see if I can get them to create a sort of stairway looking deal.

The other thing is what should I do with this cake that's on it's fourth flush and seems to be still going strong I dunk it after every flush and it still is showing no signs of any contams I have been very sterile about this operation. So I was considering a case which I know isn't an advanced topic:)

Who knows? I'd guess it should stay almost the same, though. It's still a mushroom.

If your stem breaks or something you should prolly pick it. If the cake's still growing strong try for another flush.

Well that's just it the stem didn't break in half it just split and this created a huge fracture and where this was another shroom about the same size of it bonded with the tear and is now a part of the other shroom. So the rip was fixed by the shroom that grew together with the other shroom if that makes sense.

Yeah -- it does this, probably as a defense mechanism. For example, if a shroom fell off and it was in contact with other mycelium the mycelium will try to "eat it back" and reincorporate it.

Your example is neat, however; thanks for posting it!
