spots in eyes liver damage??
    #1796089 - 08/09/03 05:32 PM (20 years, 7 months ago)

Does the presence of pinkish spots in the whites of one's eyes denote liver problems? I have heard that mushroom consumption can lead to liver damage in some cases. I have noticed these spots on occasion in my eyes before. Ive read that they are a sign of liver damage.

I have heard that too. My friend did shrooms and the morning after, he was sitting with his parents at the breakfast table and his dad pointed out that his eyes were slightly yellow. Then his mom said, "uh oh, that means there's something wrong with your liver."
So yea, i think mush is pretty bad for your liver, but what do you expect? I mean, you ARE consuming poison.

Psilocybin does not affect a fully developped liver.

Psilocybin is not a poison. It is one of the least toxic of the indole-ring hallucinogens.

Maybe you should try a little research before you make statements like that next time.

Perhaps those pinkish spots are places where the tiny bloodvessels in your eyes exploded. If it's that, then it's no biggy really as long as it's not happening all the time. That doesn't mean it happened just because of the mushrooms. This a common occurence in everyone, drug user or not.

Mushrooms do not cause liver damage. And I have had a red spot in my head a couple times from puking very hard. It went away on its own.

not sure about psylocibin, but most mushrooms are good for curing cancer and health issues.

It sounds like media suggested illness. If someone made up a story about "Ecstasy makes your feet go numb" and put it in the national enquirer after a few months you'd get people saying "My feet went numb the other day" and blaming it on ecstasy.

Do you mean they are blood shot? Happens to me when I've been drinking to much? Could be a sign of high blood pressure as a result of anxiety a common side effect caused by most drugs. you are obviously experiencing some levels of anxiety in order to post about it. Nothing to worry about as long as you let your body rest. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Canabis causes red eyes because it relaxes blood vessels.

Psilocybin is known to raise blood pressure, which could theorically make some small vessels burst.
