cake ready for birthing?
    #1796125 - 08/09/03 05:48 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

Sorry about posting so many threads close together, but something completely unrelated to the first one just came up. My cat's brother's owner's father's wacky neighbor has some Gulf Coast PF-style jars going, and they've colonized fast enough to make him pretty happy with the strain so far. Two of these jars were completely covered 12 days after inoculation.

I know conventional wisdom is to birth one week after full coverage, but these cakes have pulled away from the sides of the jars a little and I think they might be ready now. What advice to I give the guy?

If this is your first grow, which i assume it is. Go with dunking the cakes. (do a search) You can also case them. But as said many times, when you case, you put 'all your eggs in one basket' so if it contaminates you lose it all.
