Good to see many people here like grasshoppers as well. When I was little we used to catch them with my nephews and fry them like marshmallows. Crispy!

Not a lot, I'm not very adventerous when it comes to my food.. Some of the things they fed me when I was locked up in juvi though, could be called cruel and unusual punishment. They had these pork chops for instance, and I shit you not, the meat was harder than the bone. The meat was pretty much impossible to eat, it had like 0 moisture content and it was like trying to chew a brick. I was in there over a year so I kinda had to eat all this shit they fed us. If I was only gonnna be there a few weeks I'd starve first.
I tried frog legs but didn't really like them.. They tasted like sardines, which I just don't like (I liked them when I was a kid). I've ate various pet foods out of curiosity.. Milk bones, beggin strips, fish food flakes, etc. The fish food was the only thing out of any of them that I actually liked. I think it was mostly just dried sea weed which is a food people eat anyways. It kinda tastes like those freeze dried shrimps you get in cup o soups.

Perhaps another food tasted worse in my various samplings. Perhaps this egg just also looked gross while I tried it. But the flavor was horrendous.
I remember the egg white being a bizarre green color. And the yolk being black.

I drank melted ice from a cooler that was chock full of horseshoe crab eggs and bits of mud and seaweed. I used to work on a commercial lobster boat, ate some speed and drank all my fluids way too early. Most refreshing water I've ever had.

It really is a rotten horse piss flavored egg. They say originally it was cured using the piss of virgin boys but later was switched to horse piss then finally ammonia or whatever they use now to recreate the piss flavor.

I have eaten many strange things but maggot fried rice tops the list for most disgusting. They serve it at a Japanese place in nyc called kenka. The maggots were large and tasted nutty and grossly sweet. I ate a few bites but couldn't bring myself to finish it. That same place also serves bull penis, turkey testicles, raw calves liver, and a whole special menu of odd dishes.
The preserved eggs talked about above (century eggs) are actually pretty good once you develop a taste for them, and so long as you can get past the brown whites and creamy green yolks. The horse/virgin boy urine is a myth, they were traditionally made by covering raw eggs with a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks to several months, it raises the pH and breaks down some of the complex flavorless proteins and fats, to produce a variety of smaller flavorsome compounds. They taste like a more sulfuric hard boiled egg with a better texture. I prefer the duck ones as they are generally more salty and creamy. Quite good for breakfast with congee and pork floss.

Trichocereus variety mescaline cactus. Fucking awful. Chugged gallons. Ate so much dried powder that I puked all over myself and almost went hypothermic because it was bone chillingly brisk at that concert and I was soaked in green puke. I've even extracted it before but have eaten it again out of laziness I guess but I've gone nearly anaphylactic b/c of allergy to the spines multiple times as well so never doing that again unless I extract it.

He was carrying his sax!!! Don't know what I was thinking but I was high and got a good chuckle when I realized oh that's why I sorta recognize him.

The most disgusting thing I remember eating was some chinese food remnants out of a dumpster. I was near death from malnutrition. This trash can in a truck rest stop bathroom had this stuff, so I ate it. One of the soup containers was obviously pee. The one I ate from was liquidy and possibly also contained some pee. There was more pee containers in the trash can.
I have eaten some other nasty things from the street and trash cans. Some very old.
