This is taking it a bit too far. It's bad enough to imply that God is protecting our this killer, but do they have to make him look like a 6-year old??

The inscription reads: "Lord bless this defender of freedom and keep him safe in your hands."

If it makes the parents of a soldier feel better, that is fine. I for one 'pray' for the troops on a regular basis.

Unless they are made and distributed by the government I think your point is irrelevant in this case.

As amusing as that is, I don't like it.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

That's a good point. My first impression is that it is a "God supports war" figurine.

I see scant difference between this and Palestinians dressing up infants as suicide bombers.

You clearly don't have a keen sense of observation then.

My observations are keen enough to see the dangerous mix of armed aggression, religious fundamentalism and images of childish figures dressed up to take human lives.
